BCS computers hate the SEC. ESPN (SEC favored committee) loves SEC. The sport is done. Expanding to 24 teams will help… NOT! Expanding the playoff field only increases the SEC presence
#2 Georgia:
• 7-1 record
• Beat “#5” Alabama (6-2)
• Beat #24 Florida (5-3)
• Loss is to 4-4 team at home
#9 BYU:
• 7-1 Record
• Beat #11 Notre Dame (7-1)
• Beat #22 Arizona (6-2)
• Loss is to 4-4 team on the road in 2OT
How are Georgia and BYU 7 spots apart from each other with EXTREMELY similar résumés, and how is BYU behind multiple 2-loss SEC teams?
Imagine the pressure on the CFB playoff committee if they picked their playoff rankings and next day Netflix choose their own 8 team playoff with a much better prize pool. CFB playoff committee would have a completely different top 12. Welcome to capitalism vs communism
The biggest miss is one big conglomerate to challenge ESPN for their own CFB playoff. If Netflix, YouTube, Apple etc said they wanted to create their own 8 team playoff and select who they want and give a crazy prize pool, the CFB ESPN invitational committee will take it serious
College football playoff committee is treating the selection show like they are Twitter trolls. Trying to enrage people on purpose to get people talking about it, don’t care if it’s right or wrong as long as it gets engagement, and no ramifications for their actions
Miami fans realizing in real time if they lose to ND this week they are fucked. An OT win over FSU& 3 point win over UNC. If Wake doesn’t win out, their resume sucks ass. Would need the ACC championship game to make it. They lose to ND they drop to wherever BYU is if they lose
Indiana should be ranked where Texas Tech is. Same record, no big wins, 2 wins that came in OT to unranked teams, 2 other wins by 3 and 6 against unranked teams. Texas Tech’s wins over Houston and Arizona are better than any Indiana win
Alabama is going to get in with 3 losses and their best win could be 7-5 Kentucky or 7-5 South Carolina. Kentucky could very easily lose out
I’m still waiting for @netflix @amazon @YouTubeTV @AppleTV to create their own 4 team college football playoff. Make it a $500 million prize for players. The 4 best teams make it. It would turn the ESPN invitational into the NIT/SEC playoffs without the best SEC team
24 team playoff would have 10 SEC teams in it. That’s why nobody wants a 24 team playoff. It doesn’t change a damn thing
Hunter Yurachek may be special needs, seems like a conflict of interest with his position at an SEC school. Go back to computers
Alabama is 8 spots ahead of a team they lost to and have the same record as. They stamped Bama in already as a 3 loss team. They are blinding fans by using Notre Dame as a talking point to distract everyone from the corrupt bs this committee does. Wake up
So people realize how corrupt college football playoff committee is and we as fans allow it? Alabama has 2 losses and was on the ropes at home against FSU and got protection because they know they are losing to LSU which will then put LSU at 5 next week and keep bama in top 10
SEC is starting to do the math and after this weekend that conference could only have one team reach 10 wins this season. Bama, Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee could all have 3 losses after Saturday. LSU and Texas still play each other. UK could easily lose out after this weekend
ESPN/SEC media machine is nervous. They’ve realized if UGA and LSU win this weekend, their conference at best can only have three teams with 2 losses or less (and most likely just 1 or 2). They need to start the narrative early that a 2 loss ND should be out for a 3 loss SEC team
ESPN/SEC media machine doing everything they can to run the ND narrative back again this season to distract you/us because their conference is about to have a bloodbath this weekend. Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, Missouri all likely to get their 3rd loss
Naismith Award is going to Baylor Guard, Kayden Mingo, and I need @DKSports to give me a bet
