Something I find strange and still can’t quite understand is why every fandom seems to have some kind of rivalry. In Euphoria, fans constantly compared Sydney to Alexa, and now that Syd is working with more people, I’m seeing the same thing in other fandoms, like Off Campus. +

They pit the leads against each other: Nick and Taylor, Stephen and Belmont, Mika and Ella. It’s like they can’t stand seeing one person outshine another, creating such a toxic environment. Personally, I think most of this rivalry exists only online, not in real life.
