To give @edwinsifuna a good parliament, young people should pick from within their ranks and from older (preferably youthful) people with proven integrity, elect them to MP, Women Rep and Senate posts with or without parties. It's the only way Sifuna will cut taxes in 15 months.
If the USA had similar rules to Brazil about term limits, where a two-term former president can become eligible again after, say, 8yrs outside political office, @BarackObama would be reelected in 2028. And wouldn't that be sweet.
This election is our last chance to at least rein in some of the foolishness of this Administration.
We need real leadership with concrete plans to lower costs, make health care more affordable, make housing more affordable, and get utility bills under control.

PRESS STATEMENT
@HakiKNCHR has expressed grave concern regarding the reported abduction of Tanzanian political activist Twaha Salim Mwaipaya in Machakos County.
According to reports received by the Commission, Mr. Mwaipaya was traveling in a taxi on Sunday afternoon, October 25, 2026, to visit friends in Kamulu. At approximately 2:00 p.m., his vehicle was intercepted by unidentified individuals. Captors forcefully removed him from the taxi and drove him away in a three-vehicle convoy. His current whereabouts remain unknown. Mr. Mwaipaya had fled Tanzania for Kenya in 2025 out of fear for his life and safety.
The Commission warned that this incident reflects a alarming pattern of enforced disappearances, abductions, and unlawful cross-border transfers targeting individuals living or seeking sanctuary in Kenya. It noted several similar cases over the past two years, including the gunpoint abductions of Tanzanian nationals Maria Tsehai Sarungi and Mshabaha Hamza in Nairobi. Furthermore, in October 2024, Kenya’s Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary acknowledged the repatriation of four Turkish refugees following their abduction in Nairobi, and in November 2024, Ugandan opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye was reportedly abducted in Nairobi and forcibly transferred to Uganda.

Today is the 1st anniversary of the tragedy that befell Tanzania after the elections. Many people died and many remain missing to this day. People have asked to be shown where the bodies of their deceased kin are, so they can burry them in their traditions.
