When we reported this in June, we were called liars.
It was clear from the beginning that the real force behind the current demolitions is Kudakwashe Tagwirei, working together with Daniel Garwe and captured individuals like Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume. Tagwirei wants to own, by whatever means and through proxies, most of the land in Zimbabwe. Remember he is also the man behind the Land Tenure Implementation Committee, which we have already flagged as a plan to take land away from farmers by technical means.
Who is really behind the Harare demolitions?
Tagwirei's son land gift won't fall from the sky
In this video, Minister Daniel Garwe doubles down on "Operation Unoziva Kwawakabva", the destruction of homes in Harare is raising urgent questions about the true beneficiaries of this state-sanctioned campaign.
1. The Wedding "Gift":
This follows a history of grand, questionable gestures, including the wedding where Kudakwashe Tagwirei promised his son 33 hectares of land. That land is not going to fall from the sky; it is land being cleared by these very demolitions and funneled to the elite.
2. The Political Backing: Top government officials, including those responsible for land policy, were present at that wedding, where they secretly iniquitously pledged further support to Tagwirei’s land ambitions.
3. The Land Tenure Implementation Committee: Critics argue that the government’s Land Tenure Implementation Committee is effectively serving as a vehicle for private acquisition, facilitating the transfer of prime real estate to Tagwirei under the guise of official business.
With Minister Garwe fast tracking demolitions, residents are asking: Are these truly about "illegality," or is the state clearing the path to expand a private empire?

War Veterans Pressure Group, led by Cde Rueben Zulu, have endorsed Vice President, Rtd General Chiwenga
In Mudzimu Woye, Zimbabweans in the diaspora plead with Vice President Chiwenga to look upon them and bring them home safely. For many, he represents their only hope of returning home.
These are people driven abroad by economic hardship. Some work in UK care homes; others do jobs they never trained for, simply because they need to earn a living. They leave behind children, spouses and families, hoping for a better life.
Their plea is simple: look upon us, protect us, and let us return home safely.

Mudzimu Woye is a song of lamentation and remembrance, but it is also a reflection on the suffering of Zimbabweans, both at home and across the diaspora.
It speaks to a nation whose people have endured the consequences of neglected public services: hospitals struggling to provide basic care, shortages of medicines and essential supplies, inadequate access to clean water, deteriorating infrastructure and an education system under pressure.
Beyond our borders, millions of Zimbabweans have sought livelihoods elsewhere, separated from their children, spouses and parents.
In Mudzimu Woye, the appeal to the nation's ancestors is a plea for protection, safe return and a better future. It asks us to remember those who sacrificed for Zimbabwe, reflect on the conditions ordinary people face today, and revitalise our collective commitment to building a country where people can access essential services, earn a dignified living and raise their families without being forced to leave home to survive.
Remember. Reflect. Revitalise.

A rare sighting: political jackals sitting undisturbed, oblivious to the inferno that has already consumed the landscape and is now closing in on them. The beauty of tragedy is neither here nor there.

In our latest project, we have young people pleading with the fallen heroes to look out for us. Not a song you can dance to, but one you need to listen to while reminiscing and reflecting. But if you have to dance, follow the rhythm, it still gets u to reflect. Hoyere Mudzimu Woye

VP Chiwenga must be the next President, @killerzivhu1 has come out guns blazing against people he claims are threatening those who are supporting Chiwenga's ascension. "Mungapedza kuuraya 80 percent of Zimbabweans varikuti VP Chiwenga must take over after Mnangagwa?, " he said, " Iye akambokuudzai kuti tinotya kufa ndiani," he charged.
As some senselessly sang, “Ngavarambe Vachingotonga”, this is the state of the Bulawayo–Victoria Falls Road, which links Zimbabwe’s world-renowned tourism destination with the rest of the world.
It is the main road access route for international tourists travelling to Victoria Falls by road, while also connecting the resort town to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second-largest city, Harare and other major centres across the country.
Victoria Falls is one of Zimbabwe’s greatest tourism assets, attracting visitors from across the globe and generating much-needed foreign currency, jobs and livelihoods. Yet this road, which is so critical to the country’s tourism industry and international image, has been left in this state.

Those who think General Chiwenga can be embarrassed by noise are jokers. This man is a soldier, a liberation war hero ,When President ED was fired by Mugabe, the majority of the people who attended the conference deserted him, but Chiwenga sacrificed his live. Nhasi moti wakaipa
ZANU PF SUPPORTERS ARE DOGS, RANTS @TateMavetera
ICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera has called ZANU-PF supporters dogs for standing up to cheer Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga, exposing not just her disrespect for the Chiwenga, but for all Zanu PF supporters.
She also outed the growing tensions between the Vice-President’s grassroots appeal and a powerful clique determined to preserve President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s self-serving dominance.
Chiwenga's public stance on corruption, accountability, liberation values and people-centred governance has struck a chord with grassroots party supporters and sections of the wider population.
the confrontation came a day after Chiwenga delivered a pointed address at ZANU-PF’s 23rd National People’s Conference in Chinhoyi, questioning whether the ruling party was repeating the mistakes that led to the removal of former president Robert Mugabe in 2017.

So this is @TateMavetera referring to @ZANUPF_Official conference delegates as DOGS. As DOGS because they stood up when Vice President was entering the podium. As DOGS because they sang for Vice President Chiwenga.

“Kana Ndorangarira Chimurenga…” A song of memory, sacrifice and the Zimbabwe we dreamed of.
On 16 October 2026, Vice President Chiwenga reminded us of this song as he planted a tree in Chinhoyi to honour the Seven Heroes of Chinhoyi. We have adapted it, but its message remains timeless.
Behind every fallen freedom fighter was a family. Some never returned; others came home bearing scars that would never heal. Ordinary people, too, supported and witnessed a war fought in their backyards. All sacrificed for a better Zimbabwe.
Their sacrifice demands that we uphold the values they fought for: integrity, sovereignty, democracy and putting the people first.

This is the moment Vice President Kembo Mohadi was assisted off the top table at the ZANU PF Conference. This is was after he reportedly fell ill
Meanwhile, both @HeraldZimbabwe and @ZBCNewsonline have deleted Vice President Chiwenga's speech videos
Under fire from social media users for not sharing what Vice President Chiwenga actually said, @StarfmZimbabwe has restricted comments on its Facebook post about Chiwenga's speech. They only shared an image and some brief explanation that Chiwenga paid tribute to the Chinhoyi Seven heroes, celebrating their legacy of courage and sacrifice.
They also stated that Chiwenga highlighted the drive "From Resolutions to Results," reaffirming the commitment to economic growth and national development.
Social media users were not having it and they descended on Star FM, calling them out.
