Interesting stuff ahead of Saints v Gloucester this weekend - both sides will have their main 10 missing for most of the build up (albeit for different reasons)

Sadly, as expected, @BathRugby have confirmed Santi Carreras has ruptured his ACL and will miss the rest of the season; and Guy Pepper's ankle injury will mean he misses all of the Nations Championship. Good news: Will Muir, Henry Arundell and Tom de Glanville are training again

Surrey Cricket

Head Coach Gareth Batty is to leave the Club to take up a role with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. The Club would like to thank Gareth for overseeing a highly successful period in its history. As Head Coach, Surrey won three County Championship titles in a row from 2022-2024.

Training squad update 📣 Gloucester fly half Charlie Atkinson has been called up to Steve Borthwick’s three-day training camp ahead of the Nations Championship. He replaces Fin Smith, who will remain with the squad for rehabilitation. @O2 | #WearTheRose

When you name 30-odd players there should always be a few "whatabouts", if there aren't you'd be worried about your depth. I would love to know what England think Fitz Harding's "work-ons" are though. Could just be they don't see themselves playing his style of game

I mean OK, @markbutcher72 doing adverts for shampoo is just trolling him - but Butch is a very good sport!!!

Said this before, and I'll said it again, I love Pakistan tv cricket coverage. Sponsorship and advertising is the lifeblood of most sports - so what if for a few seconds you see 30 people eating KFC, or 6 drinking Tapal tea, or a couple slapping on sun cream?? It pays the bills

Yellow card swing. Could be the difference between a TBP or not

Cam Henderson will never have to buy another beer in Leicestershire after that try. He's quietly had a very good game

My ribs hurt I'm laughing so much at that "skirmish". Massive shout out to Alex Mitchell, who managed to start it all - and then blend into the background ... like all good 9s!!!

Chessum pushing Pollock up the steps might be the actual highlight of the first half!!!!

Aussie rugby back row stocks must be off the charts deep if Josh Kemeny is nowhere near their squad

For all the big names in this game. Cam Henderson has put in 2 of the biggest shots so far

Seems like very similar vibes to last night - Tigers have had loads of possession and territory but not turned it into points. And we know how that turned out for Bath

The @WorldRugby Exec Board say they need more trials about the lower tackle height in Elite rugby. Was trailed at the U20 WC, but that was only 40G. Brett Robinson "the only way to get the level of data we need is for an elite domestic competition to adopt the trial" Anyone?

Someone tell the Japanese director we don't need to stay on this close up of an injured player. Role some highlights instead please

If you're a fan of "old fashioned" style rugby shirts, that Japan kit against Wales is gorgeous. Proper collar, looks like it buttons up - my childhood is being rekindled

You chuck in a game like that, and seriously, what's not to like? Absolutely epic. JVG said he's not a medic so will wait for the scans, but added he'll be "amazed if it's not a serious injury" for Santi Carreras. And by that he means the dreaded letters "A, C, and L"

There's no bad reason to come to @gloucesterrugby - but high on the good list is this media working area. I love to stand up when commentating so this is amazing, so much space and no one behind us. Perfect!
