scarlett: “gay people exist eveywhere. so it doesn’t matter (if it’s an lgbtq environment). for me personally, i don’t wanna just hold events and places that are already liberal because you don’t get liberation by continuing to do things in already liberal places. so i think i mean my experience of being here is obviously a good one. i haven’t had that problem. i’m not saying we don’t have that problem. i’m sure they do it. i know that italy generally is a much more conservative space and maybe more in the south because the further you go away usually from bigger cities. obviously sadly the less open minded people generally are. i’m making a sweeping generalization here. but i think for me that it’s even more important to do it in those spaces and not always just go to places that have that. it’s like you know saying that we should turn our back on large proportions of the middle east because a lot of it is obviously actually extremely anti gay but again gay people exist everywhere whether it’s open or not. so we only create bigger community, more inclusivity, more freedom, and give people a chance to be themselves by bringing places like lesbian supper club and also the representation that ze brings by being public. so whether it is or it isn’t (lgbtq friendly) is kind of irrespective of whether we should do it or not. actually if it’s not more so for me, i wanna do it!” zeudi: “i agree”
