Another story impossible to imagine in any other administration: the president's son goes hunting with a Russian criminal who is part of Putin's security entourage
The trip highlights the remarkable relationship between a son of the US president and a tycoon with a criminal record who has close ties to Vladimir Putin’s personal security service. Intelligence experts say such connections are ripe for manipulation. ft.trib.al/p0LBRYI
It seems I should be used to it by now, but I’m really surprised by the indifference of many European countries that have Patriot interceptors but are unwilling to provide them to Ukraine. At the same time, they see how the Russians are killing Ukrainian children almost every day - children who could have been saved.

This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years.
No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

Monday night and Russia has just launched a ballistic missile strike on the dormitories of Kyiv's State University of Trade and Economics. Students are dead.
Vivek Ramaswami supports Ukraine's surrender and advocates lifting all sanctions against Russia. This serves as yet another reminder that people who want Russia to win are always the most despicable pieces of shit.

This week, Russia has hit nine “Epicentr” stores across Ukraine. These are Ukraine’s version of “Home Depot,” where people buy household appliances - including generators to power their homes through the winter as Russian strikes knock out electricity across the country. This live was from a store hit Thursday. Four more were hit in the last 24 hours alone.

Today, another Russian smear campaign is trying to pretend that Ukraine, or Zelenskyy personally, rejected a good "peace deal" in Istanbul in 2022.
The "peace plan" in question included strict limitations on the Ukrainian armed forces, rendering them harmless and defenseless. No alliances were allowed. It also included security guarantees, but with a funny kicker: Russia demanded that triggering these security guarantees required the unanimous agreement of all guarantor states, including Russia itself.
In other words, Ukraine was supposed to disarm almost completely, after which Russia could attack again and just block Ukraine from receiving any military aid. Comfy, right?
The "peace deal" proposed in Istanbul was, in fact, a "disarm and let Russia slaughter us" deal. The full details are public by now. Research it yourself and don't fall for the propaganda.

Just now, a strike was carried out using winged missiles against the "Energia" plant in Yeltsa, Lipetsk region.
The enterprise operates within the Russian military-industrial complex, producing batteries and accumulators for missile systems, aviation, and other military equipment.

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.
As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.
In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.
In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.
We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.
It’s a very convenient stance, Mr. Rubio, to tell everyone that this is all “about Donbas.” As if it were some kind of local conflict, rather than a full-scale war. If Russian aggression is only about Donbas, then why are Russian drones and missiles flying toward Kyiv and other cities every day?

In case it wasn’t already obvious: being nice to Putin hasn’t achieved peace. And it never will.
Luckily there is at least one easy option that stops Russia’s ballistic missiles from killing civilians and destroying power grids. Starlink.
Ukrainian drones can destroy the launchers, but need access to Starlink over Russian territory to navigate effectively.
This would cost American taxpayers nothing. It would save lives. And it would put real pressure on Putin.
