There is another dimension to this argument solidarity beyond caste identities. Consider the persecution and marginalisation faced by, particularly Muslims, and the vulnerabilities of Christian. Where do these struggles fit into the political imagination of caste-based parties?

That is not to dismiss their struggles. These assertions have historically been necessary. But their political possibilities also have limitations.
But I think @neha_aisa ’s argument has been mixed up with a rather simplistic saviour-complex interpretation. I don’t necessarily think that was her intention.

The point, as I understand it, was about the limitations of social justice politics when compared with the broader structural ambitions of communist politics. Identity-based mobilisation and affirmative action are necessary interventions
