In the next 30 days I'll build a small computer vision project: teaching an agent to play pong, only via RL, with distractions in it and out of view visuals. Will the agent still know how to play pong when distractive balls come to screen, fogs appears and more? Let's see!

I would honestly go live there
Elon Musk can you please form a country? I am not optimistic about what is going on in the world. Let’s form a country that focuses on technology, future and the truth.

An empathic machine: it sees the worst of us, the tremendous human nature in our souls, but still chooses us. That is the ultimate frontier of AI alignment Read my pinned article!
I saw the worst of you And I still chose you

I feel bad for my future son because when he will ask me to buy him a $5k pc to study I will know that actually he'll train neural networks on it and not play minecraft like all other kids 😭

Think about what a young boy, full of dreams and stories in his head, will be able to produce 2 years from now in his little bedroom. Think about that. How can you not be bullish on the future of humanity?
Watch Episode 1 of our Odyssey series made with Grok Imagine. Let us know in the comments if you'd like a full breakdown of how it was done! Creative collaboration with @WonderStudiosX and director Dev Walker @glumlot_

The first time I booted Omarchy it felt like the OS was on my side. Friendly, almost. Took me a while to get why, but now I think that this quite friendliness I felt is just @dhh's idea of what tech is for: bring people together and make them go "wow"

Musk is winning. Never ever go against him. The GOAT of our lifetime.
NEW - Musk invests about $1 billion in David Ellison's Skydance Corporation.

Scientific method and causality for the win.
Peter Thiel has a blunt test for whether a startup team is thinking clearly. Watch how they talk about their own outcomes. His observation: when founders start framing results as luck — "maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, so let's just invest a little and see" — that's not prudent risk management. That's a diagnostic failure. The mechanism is specific. Luck-framing doesn't emerge from humility. It emerges from not having done the analytical work to understand *why* your business will win. If you've truly mapped the competitive dynamics, the customer psychology, the timing — you don't describe the outcome as a coin flip. You describe what needs to be true and why. The portfolio mindset ("let's see what happens") is what you default to when you don't have conviction built on evidence. Thiel's sharpest version of this: the founders of Google, Amazon, and Apple in their early days weren't operating on hope. They had specific theories about why they would win that others couldn't see yet. Bezos mapped out why e-commerce would scale through selection and logistics before the market existed. That's not luck-denial — that's rigorous foresight presented as conviction. When a founding team tells you "we'll figure it out," the question isn't whether they're optimistic. It's whether they can articulate the actual mechanism of their advantage. If they can't, the luck framing isn't a personality trait. It's a capability gap. Blaming luck is what you do when you've stopped thinking.

Quick reminder of the best skill the world has ever seen (it's mine of course)
/study-book I had claude write me a 519-page textbook on neural networks. Not a summary: a whole book covering at good depth all the fundamental knowledge in NNs. It's an open-source skill. Inspired by @calebfahlgren's recent post, I wanted to learn anything with material made exactly the way I want it. You tell it what you want to learn, pick a depth from 0 to 5, and optionally give it your own sources: slides, notes, etc... It plans the book, you approve the plan, then: → one writer agent per chapter → auditor fact-checks every chapter → "student" agent reads it and flags where it got lost → a final review of the whole book Then a typesetting engine I built turns it into a real book: justified text, figures, cross-references, glossary, index. The result: 403 of 403 topics covered, every number computed by a script, every quote checked against its source. By being a passionate learner, I'm more excited than ever before! You can find the skill and engine in the comments! Video by Opus 5.5 PS: is quite token hungry!

"I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend" - J.R.R. Tolkien's The Two Towers. Here to remember how great friends Tolkien and Lewis were! The idea of one could be often found in the ideas of the other
There's nothing more dangerous than weak men and weak institutions. It's a provocation that'll eventually be answered by predators. Not all swords should be turned to plowshares.

About that, I also think that they will probably get heavily participated by the State. There is no way the private will stay in charge of such a key technology for the world.
AI labs won't stay software companies. They're becoming the core infrastructure for high-value domains, compressing discovery cycles in biotech and expanding into coordination and execution layers. Abundance is coming... it's only a question of time.

"we can fix everything" this is how you do it. delusional tech optimism is the way of the future. nor just in the industry, but in society as well engineering = magic

I swear to God, if @dom_gag_96 creates a company to destroy the public sector and make it efficient with the use of AI agents, I'm in for help. And a lot of us, Italian Builders, would be in it too.
