We’re making progress closing the #HomeworkGap, but we need to make sure every student has after-school access to the digital tools they need for schoolwork and engaging with teachers and classmates. Today’s announcement is a crucial step in our ongoing work to connect our kids.

Lots going on today to draw attention to the Affordable Connectivity Program. It's a big deal! It's the nation's largest-ever #broadband affordability effort & it has already helped 11.5 million households get online. So proud of @FCC staff for their work developing this program.

I’ve said before that this program’s success will be built household by household, and today’s kickoff is another meaningful effort to expand the Affordably Connectivity Program’s impact. #BroadbandForAll

Since the program opened last June, thousands of schools and libraries signed up, and we are now providing funding for over 10 million connected devices and over 5 million broadband connections throughout the country.
