😳 Things got heated in a Detroit newsroom when a news anchor seemingly lost her cool with a coworker. 🎥: Fox 2 Detroit

I had a distant cousin killed in Vietnam. 18 years old. My bunk mate in Iraq was killed in Baghdad. 20 years old. The number of friends I've lost to suicide out number the ones I've lost to combat. We need to stop rich old men sending kids to die in foreign lands.

I hope Hollywood learns the right lesson from the massive success of Project Hail Mary (“the right lesson” being that Sandra Hüller karaoke scenes = big money)

to understand Liza Minnelli, as a concept, you have to remember that she’s literally the child of a homosexual man and Judy Garland -- basically, the gay Kwisatz Haderach

No Other Choice didn’t get a single nomination. Naturally, Park Chan-Wook now has to kill the other nominees until they reluctantly give him the Oscar.

Am I wrong to be very concerned about the availability of the Warners repertory library if it is bought by Netflix? Will the classics still be offered to theaters? Will they support 35mm prints?

This is a big personal loss. Scott Spiegel was a huge part of my formative years back in Michigan. From Sunday School to being stock boys together, to Evil Dead II, which Scott co-wrote, I can’t look in the rear view mirror without seeing this unique guy doing cheap gags. I’m grateful for the treasure trove of happy memories. Keep Shemping, Scott!
RIP to Scott Spiegel, one of the essential parts of making The Evil Dead movies. I'll be thinking of POV shots in your honour.

if you'd like to see a wide re-release of Hundreds of Beavers in theaters this year, one night only, on thousands of screens — retweet this. we've got some doubters.

Ok so dinner in America blowing up again was not some small fluke. Dead serious, what theaters want to do screenings? We never got our shot at the big screen and we’re all ready to share it with you. Tag/call your theatre and get back to me and @AdamRehmeier let’s set shit up!

If we want the war in Gaza to end, we can’t put our heads in the sand or ignore the voices of the Palestinian Americans in the Democratic Party. If we want peace, if we want real democracy, and if we want to win this election, the Democratic Party must allow a Palestinian American speaker to be heard from the DNC stage tonight.

What a loss. What a life. What an actor.
Gena Rowlands, whose seminal and fearless performance in “A Woman Under the Influence” inspired a generation and who starred in many other John Cassavetes features and the romance “The Notebook,” died Wednesday in Indian Wells, Calif. She was 94. Read more about her life and legacy here: wp.me/pc8uak-1lEzYU
