Direct CDC guidelines:“If individual housing options are not available, allow people who are living unsheltered or in encampments to remain where they are. Clearing encampments can cause people to disperse throughout the community and break connections with service providers.”1/2
CALL TO ACTION! 📣 The city is planning to sweep four different encampments during the heatwave this week, including a massive vehicle encampment on Tuesday with 50+ vehicles and 50-75 people living there. Tuesday is forecast to be over 90°.

Still have about 25 boxes and securing more next week. Planning to hold on to next week’s donation for when the next spike happens (😭😭), but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need a test for yourself or your MA group!
Things have really slowed down lately, but we still have just over 50 test in our possession. If your MA group could benefit from some tests, please don’t hesitate to reach out!! The LAST thing we want is for tests to sit around unused.

I must admit, that was A LOT easier and faster than I expected.
Note to self, do NOT get tested at GS Labs (also they charge $300 out of pocket so DEFINITELY don’t get tested there).

If you have health insurance or Medicaid, you automatically qualify for 8 free rapids (4 pairs) a month. Hopefully you can order directly through insurance soon, until then you purchase tests wherever, save receipts, and submit a claim for reimbursement! cms.gov/how-to-get-your-at-h…

There are some restrictions (ie tests have to be FDA approved). The FAQ linked in the previous tweet has some good info.
