Mind you in TX you can’t just select one party at the top and automatically have all their candidates receive your vote. You have to physically press the button by each candidate’s name and hit next, and then do that 108 times. The voters wanted all of them gone.
This is pretty crazy. Democrats won so big in Texas that CNN can’t fit it all on the screen.

2024: “Kamala is for they/them, President Trump is for you” becomes one of the most effective ads in the election 2026: the person below flips the Deep South state of South Carolina blue, & the election wasn’t particularly close Oh how the pendulum swings
It still 🤯 that my position on protecting kids was used against me in the campaign. Protect kids. Protect trans kids. Protect gay kids. Protect Black kids. Protect sick kids. Protect ALL the damn kids. It’s not that complicated.

DEMOCRATS WIN SENATE POPULAR VOTE ACROSS FORMER CONFEDERATE STATES Democrats won the combined Senate popular vote across ten former Confederate states, securing 20,782,908 votes (53.74%) to Republicans' 17,888,197 (46.26%)—a margin of nearly 2.9 million votes. The result is a major victory for Democrats in a region Republicans have dominated for decades. High Black voter turnout helped fuel the result, carrying particular historical significance in states where Black Americans were once denied the right to vote. Democrats broke decades-long losing streaks in Texas and South Carolina. James Talarico became the first Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate from Texas since Lloyd Bentsen in 1988, while Annie Andrews delivered South Carolina's first Democratic Senate victory since 1998.

How much did Paxton get blown out by? If Talarico got zero votes on Election Day he still would have won. #txsen

This take was mocked by countless Conservatives when I posted it. A year and a half later, Latinos propelled Texas to flip all statewide positions on the ballot. The Rio Grande Valley with the famed Trump Tejano supporters even reverted back to Obama level Democratic support.
My 2028 prediction is that South Texas reverts back to 2020 levels of Democratic support. Trump’s now unpopular immigration policies will play a role. Trump’s unique 2024 coalition that included a large amount of minority supporters will also be difficult to maintain as well.

Texas had the highest leftward swing out of all states! Not only did Democrats win every statewide election, they flipped the state house, board of education & won 4 state supreme court seats. Texas as a symbol of the Republican Party is done for. The title is now Florida’s.

Talarico has officially received more votes in Texas than Biden 2020. I believe this means Talarico is now the Democrat who’s received the highest number of votes in Texas history.

Republicans were so close to suffering an even worse loss than they already had tonight. There’s so many solid republican districts that have some sort of arm reaching into an urban county that currently have a 1-4% vote difference between the Democrat and the Republican

This isn't just a turnout issue, loads of Dem candidates are getting more raw votes than Harris did despite it being a midterm Hamilton, Andrews, Talarico (Hinojosa should get there too). It's just a total R collapse

She did the work all by herself without your help. You had no faith. If you try to run for president in 2028, watch out in Texas because you’re toast here.
Replying to @GinaHinojosaTX
@GinaHinojosaTX just made history in Texas! Gina was a fantastic candidate who ran an incredible campaign. I'm so excited to see her win tonight and know she will make a great Governor.
