My favorite #HispanicHeritageMonth project is learning what makes my students names so special. ❤️ We introduce it by using the story Alma and How She Got Her Name by Juan Martinez-Neal. 🥹 This years’ projects were just as wonderful and creative. @HumbleISD_HE
I’ve been a little M.I.A. this back to school season because it has been busy but amazing things have been happening in my first grade classroom! ❤️ My little learners have been learning so much! Thanks to the help of my awesome student teacher Mr. Nuñez. ☺️ @HumbleISD_HE
My little firsties have been busy learning all the things this first month of school. 💜 They make me so proud! 🥹 @HumbleISD_HE
Meet the Teacher was so much fun last night! I met 12 of my 19 first grade families ❤️. I’m excited to see everyone on Wednesday! @HEitscool2Bdual @HumbleISD_HE

Today, we had the privilege of being on Tara’s Capitol Tour group. She made the tour engaging, fun and we learned a lot of fun new facts. And she had the cutest glasses! 🩷 @visitthecapitol
#Throwback to the last day of the year last week. A little food, a few large board games, an end of year craft, and some dancing with glow sticks. 🥹 @HumbleISD_HE #duallanguage #firstiesindual
#MarketDat in 1st grade was a huge success! ☺️ We had the absolutely best time and the students’ hard work was in full display. Everything was created by them and every job was done by them. I am so proud of these littles! @HumbleISD_HE @ajmteach

Our author study of @renecolato ended with #ElJuegodelaLoteria so what is a teacher to do but find a student friendly version of the game on @TPT_Official, play a few rounds and teach students a new game & new Spanish vocabulary. @ajmteach @HumbleISD_HE @HumbleISD_Multi #duallang

I am just so proud of how far my first group of #firsties has come. 🥹 The amount of pride so many of them feel when they spell their Spanish words correctly makes me beam with joy! @ajmteach @HumbleISD_HE @HumbleISD_Multi
