Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo delivered a masterclass response to a lawyer challenging his decision to end four vaccine mandates.
Attorney Simone Chriss claimed it would have a “devastating impact.”
This was his response:
“I understand you’re not a clinician or a physician.”
“Did you say devastating impact?”
Chriss: “I did.”
Dr. Ladapo: “There are other states in this country that do not mandate three of the vaccines that we’re removing.”
“There are many, many countries that don’t mandate any vaccines.”
“Canada.”
“Australia.”
“Denmark.”
“Sweden.”
“The United Kingdom.”
“Many of these countries actually have life expectancies that are longer than this country has.”
“It’s actually sort of perverse to think that you could separate parental rights from public health.”

People seem to forget that most “anti vaxxers” WERE pro-vax. Until they watched the light leave their child’s eyes and become non-verbal.
Harm a mother’s child and you are never going to gain her trust back.
Gaslight her, tell her what she experienced wasn’t real, and she’ll spend the rest of her life fighting to make sure no other child suffers the way hers did.
I’m not an anti vaxxer. I am an ex vaxxer after I watched them harm my daughter. Most of us are ex vaxxers after we watched them harm our children. Unfortunately it usually takes actually watching harm being done to someone you love to change your mind on them. I know it did for me. I believed the lies they told me about vaccines and even became the immunization nurse for public health. But that all changed when I watched my own daughter be harmed by vaccines

I have close friends who have been reinstated after refusing the mandated COVID vaccines. You stated how they were treated was wrong and allowed them back with back pay, some with additional rank. That’s why I’m writing you.
I’m being told that military members are still facing vaccine requirements, and the new mRNA flu shot is part of the schedule some commands are treating as mandatory. I implore you to stand up for our volunteer warfighters. They are willing to stand against our enemies. They should not be forced to stand against mandated medical products in the name of ideology or “greater good” science.
Throw these products out, or at minimum halt any mandate that regresses basic rights. As a service member I took every shot when I was young because I believed it was for the greater good. As an adult paramedic who has seen the damage firsthand, I’ve grown enough to write this request.
Please stand with and for our soldiers, Marines, airmen, sailors, Space Force, and Coast Guard. They already carry enough without being forced into decisions that can affect their health for the rest of their lives.
