Her story is so touching and triggering for me personally. And unfortunately I'm subjective because I have seen directly witnessed something similar. For me, yes. I'm a strong advocate of "do not loose your individuality simply because you're in a relationship". Have an identity outside the relationship. I mean you're an individual first before you even get to be in a relationship. So yes, take that solo trip, go have fun.
