I reworked the Hex homepage for no reason 😅 Try it out for all your speech to text needs. It's free, multi-platform, and pretty good. Also, I just added added faster Parakeet streaming models, so dictation's even faster now.

I replaced the Google Assistant with OpenCode GPT Live Connected to all my devices on my mesh 'How long till my gf gets home' (tv -> mesh -> macbook -> find my -> maps ETA -> answer) 'Hey what sessions are running on my Windows laptop rn?' 'Start a 5 min timer then text me when its done' (so I can take something off the stove from the other room) Can you see what is happening yet?

a weird thing about OSS pull requests these days is we don't know what model was used for it and our internal setup provides better tools to the agent so they're almost always worse than sending the prompt ourselves it's mostly useful for environments we cannot recreate

the amount of internal tooling is exploding, it must be at all companies a weird side effect is when you switch companies then it's all new tools you have to learn, way less consistency than before but also you can just use an agent to learn about them so maybe it all nets out
