the only thing that narcissists and psychopaths understand is a whip to the face and a knife at the throat all my years in criminal youth and dealing with such people from a young age has taught me that lesson multiple times over you cannot reason with the wicked and those who seek to steal from you or exploit you you can only make the price for doing so become so severe that they understand it leads to their own demise, thus you trigger their survival instinct and cause them to crawl under a rock turning the other cheek is sometimes useful for preserving peace of mind, sure but if history teaches us one thing, it is that the only thing that stops bad people from violence or exploitation, is good people who are even more skilled in violence and not afraid to swing the sword when tested
