NEW issue in Site Audit: Page and SERP titles do not match! Does Google rewrite your titles? It's time to find out! Site Audit compares your page's HTML <title> tag with the latest title that we've seen for that page in Google's SERP. If they mismatch, you'll get a notice.

Little tip - You can schedule a crawl, which automatically exports any tabs, filters, bulk exports or reports to a Sheet within Google Drive by choosing 'gsheet' (and selecting your G account) under export in the scheduling config.

More about passage-based indexing: "This change doesn’t mean we’re indexing individual passages independently of pages. We’re still indexing pages & considering info about entire pages for ranking. But now we can also consider passages from pages as an additional ranking factor"
Last week, we shared about how we will soon identify individual passages of a web page to better understand how relevant a page is to a search. This will be a global change improving 7% of queries: blog.google/products/search/… In this thread, more about how it works….

As Google explained, they are still indexing the full pages, and not just specific passages. It's more of a ranking change vs. indexing change. Also, it's *not* live yet. Google explained it will start next month. Barry spoke w/Google and he says by the end of the year.
Google Passage Ranking, it is not Passage Indexing and it is not live yet, won't be until the end of the year. When it goes live, it will impact 7% of all queries (so it is big) seroundtable.com/google-pass…

We're currently experiencing longer than usual delays in the Search Console Index Coverage report. This only affects reporting, not crawling, indexing, or ranking of websites. We'll update here once this issue is resolved. Thanks for your patience!

This is not new, but cool to see Chrome in action helping the user experience. When a page isn't easy to read on mobile, Chrome might prompt you to see a "Simplified View". That brings you to Chrome's reader mode. Also, some of those pages actually rank well on mobile! :)
