State Sen. Nathan Dahm (R-OK) has penned several bills loosening gun restrictions, including the nation’s first anti-red flag law. He thinks these bills protect the Second Amendment – and that they make us safer. We think it's probably one or the other. Watch it on @AppleTVPlus.
Our 5th graders had a great time at JA Biztown today, and are already asking when we can go back! @watterson_elem
Students love owning their answers. Watch the hands go up when the names start getting recorded! @watterson_elem
On our first day back from Winter break, we focused a lot on our routines and expectations. Together, our class made this More/Less chart. It gave them a voice in our classroom community and helped set the tone for the rest of the year. #HappyNewYear #5thGrade @watterson_elem

This week, our school's librarian and I collaborated and hosted a book tasting for my 5th graders. They shared with me that they enjoyed reading the history and historical fiction books, which they otherwise would not have thought to pick up. Success!! @watterson_elem

The idea that an 18-year-old can walk into a store and buy assault weapons is just wrong.
What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for except to kill someone?
