It's crazy how he was expecting everything at the end.
My girlfriend's mother wants me to visit her. She likely feels that our relationship is reaching its final stage and heading toward marriage, so she invited me over so we could formally get to know each other. However, I am very reluctant to accept her invitation because, deep down, I know her daughter is not the type of person I want to spend the rest of my life with. Feeling guilty, I haven't been able to bring myself to tell my girlfriend that we will never end up together, simply because she isn't what I am looking for in a wife. How do you think my girlfriend will feel if I finally find the courage to tell her the truth? I don't want to hurt her feelings, but does keeping this to myself make me a bad person?

It’s amazing how much less problem solving you have to do when you’re rich.

It was a normal Tuesday, pouring rain outside, and I was rushing to finish a work email. My four year old, Matt, was tugging at my jeans, begging to play blocks. "Just five minutes, sweetie, Mommy has to finish this," I muttered, not looking up from my screen. I heard his little footsteps pad away toward the kitchen. A sudden, heavy crash cut through the quiet. Then, a terrifyingly sharp silence. I bolted into the kitchen. The heavy oak bookshelf had tipped forward. Matt was pinned underneath, his favorite blue block still clutched in his tiny, still hand. I screamed, lifting the weight with an adrenaline I didn’t know I had, but it was already too late. Now, the house is permanently quiet. I still sit at that same desk, staring at the empty hallway, utterly destroyed by the five minutes I wouldn't give him.
This one will captivate you.

Late night confessions always get me thinking about this one fantasy I am a 24 year old woman who gets restless at night and starts replaying little moments from my life in my head until they turn into something more. One fantasy that keeps coming back involves me at a quiet house party with close friends where the conversation drifts into honest territory. I picture myself on the couch in a short dress, sipping wine and admitting how much I love being the center of attention without anyone judging me for it. In the fantasy things escalate slowly. A guy I have known for months sits next to me and starts asking playful questions about what I like in bed. Before long another friend joins in and they both focus completely on me, their hands resting on my thighs while they take turns describing what they would do. I stay there letting them explore, feeling their fingers trace higher as I confess every detail I have kept private. The room stays dimly lit and the others seem to fade into the background while these two men make me the only thing that matters. I always wake up the next morning still thinking about how free it felt to be that open and desired at the same time. It is the kind of scenario that leaves me smiling through my whole day.

My best friend since childhood is gay. I'm straight. I've told him that more times than I can count, and I'm running out of ways to say it. We were eight when we met, two kids who bonded over a broken skateboard and a shared hatred of our math teacher. He was at my dad's funeral. I was the first person he came out to, at seventeen, in a parked car, shaking. I told him nothing would change, and I meant it. Somewhere around twenty-two, things did. He started texting me "good morning" and "goodnight" every day. He'd show up at my place with my favorite takeout "just because." When I started seeing someone, he got quiet and distant for weeks, then acted like nothing had happened. I told myself I was imagining it. Then, on a road trip, he turned the music down and said, "You know I'd be good for you, right?" I said, as kindly as I could, "Man, I'm straight. I love you, but not like that." He nodded and said, "Yeah. I know. Forget I said anything."

I think his motivation would come down to revenge, identity, and the need to feel in control of his own life. Clayface has always been a tragic character in the comics, especially Basil Karlo, whose obsession with his appearance and acting career eventually turns into hatred and violence. If the movie follows that direction, he might not start out wanting to be a villain. He could become one after realizing that the world only values him for his face, his talent, or what he can offer. Once he gains the ability to change his appearance, he has the power to become anyone, but he may also lose the ability to recognize who he really is. That conflict could turn him into someone who uses his powers for revenge against the people who ruined his life.
Just finished #clayface and i wanna ask in the end what would his motivation to be a villian be??

My dad charged me rent from the day I turned 18. Every month on the 5th, no excuses. My mom didn’t speak to him for a week when he first put the note on the fridge. None of my friends paid their parents, so I used to complain about it constantly. I stayed until I was 29. On my wedding day, just before the ceremony, he handed me a notebook and an envelope. Inside the notebook were every single payment I’d ever made. On the last page he wrote the total. The envelope had a bank statement. He’d been saving every penny and adding to it. “I never needed your rent money,” he said. “I needed you to learn.” I thought he was being harsh. Turns out he was building something for me the whole time.

The woman who knew I was broke was the only person at the table who didn't ask me to explain myself. My name is Vesper Ainsley. At twenty, I had perfected the art of appearing comfortable in rooms where I couldn't afford anything. I attended a private university on a scholarship that covered tuition but not accommodation, books, or the endless social obligations that came with studying among people whose parents owned companies. My aunt and uncle paid the difference. In exchange, I was expected to attend family dinners, praise their generosity, and never mention that the arrangement made me feel like a permanent guest in my own future. At one dinner, my uncle announced that he was considering withdrawing his support. “You've become distant,” he said. “We hardly know what you're doing anymore.” I wanted to tell him that I worked four evenings a week in a hotel kitchen, that I sometimes skipped lunch to afford transport, and that I hadn't bought new shoes in fourteen months. Instead, I said, “I'm managing.”

My homegirl’s ex has been reaching out to her on practically every social media platform, including her Gmail, saying he just wants them to save each other’s numbers, view each other’s stories and remain friends. Now he’s planning to move to the same city in Canada where she and her fiancé are preparing to settle after their wedding. I’ve known my home girl since childhood. She even lived with my family for a while when her parents relocated in high school, so she’s practically family to me. I’ve watched her go through relationships that almost destroyed her confidence, and this particular guy was the worst of them.

This dying scene was almost disturbingly accurate. It’s the sounds that stay with you, especially the death rattle. That’s something you don’t easily forget.
