It's a few hours before UDC turns 5 and I can't focus on anything else.
Thousands of designers. Five years.
I keep thinking about the first edition and how small it felt, and how much of this only exists because people kept showing up. Every attendee, speaker, sponsor, volunteer and a random stranger who supported the vision.
I started this to give designers a place to be seen and a network to grow with. Watching people leave UDC and go on to do global work is the best thing I've ever been part of.
Tomorrow we celebrate that.

when the conversations started, even I told her not to think twice about it! That funding is going to unlock so much for builders, people are beginning to see what’s possible
so no, there was no dog eat dog situation or sidelining… Shalom and I spoke about it well beforehand and we couldn’t have been more excited to have powered Lagos Life to where it got
and honestly this is still one of the biggest wins for Bachs… The publicity, the growth and most importantly, the validation that what we set out to build is real

When we first started moving some of our infra to @brimblehq, we weren’t honestly weren’t sure how it would go
Reliability and uptime are everything at Bachs. Other people’s businesses rely on us to run, so we couldn’t afford to get it wrong
But we really wanted to work with product builders from Africa, so we took the leap
a few weeks in, and my only regret is that we didn’t start earlier with Brimble
