Judge to Baby: File an Asylum Application

The 1-year-old is one of the migrant children who advocates say appeared in immigration court without legal representation.

Eid Mubarak! Today as we honor Prophet Ibrahim, Eid al-Adha reminds us that sacrifice is not a burden. It is an opportunity to see ourselves as part of something larger. To extend a hand to those who need it most. I am honored to be New York City's first Muslim Mayor and I am determined to lead through solidarity. Together, we are working to ensure every New Yorker can afford the groceries, housing, and child care they need. Our solidarity is our strength. Eid Saeed, New York.

As Black History Month begins, we honor the generations of Black New Yorkers who built this city into the “gorgeous mosaic” we call home.

Today, we reflect on the words of Mayor David Dinkins: our city’s first Black mayor (and a democratic socialist!).

AI and Black History Month is really about to be a fool. Y’all are gonna have Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth playing double dutch. I want no parts.

Richard Smallwood seemed larger than life. Total Praise is one of the greatest gospel songs of all time. Came out in 1996 but seems timeless. RIP to a legend and giant.

As a PBS kid & documentary watcher, the irreparable damage this will cause to not just the next generation but to all of us is unmeasurable. Free publicly sourced knowledge, information, & education that served this nation for years will just no longer be a thing. All of it gone.
