It’s Election Day! Please vote! It is one of our most precious rights - that’s why I voted. To my friends on the ballot in Texas, Alabama, and elsewhere, thank you for stepping into the arena and I wish you the best!
It’s always an honor when I get to see the fruits of my labors in print. Here is the latest ( 2026-2027) edition of our O’ Connor’s Texas Business & Commerce Code Plus. Hopefully, it will continue to help many TX practitioners! Grateful to my editors and to #FaulknerLaw !
Received this lovely gift recently of Longhorn cufflinks & tieclip from a former student now practicing in Texas, who just won his 1st trial! They were accompanied by a touching letter about how much he appreciated my teaching, especially about AI. #Faulknerlaw
Happy Constitution Day! As someone who has sworn multiple oaths to protect and defend our Constitution, I hope you’ll join me in remembering what the Framers gave us and striving for a more perfect Union!
One of the last of my 2025 law review articles is finally out in the Rutgers L. Rev.! Rutgers is where I was a National Merit Scholar & Phi Beta Kappa grad, but most importantly where I met my wife of 37 years ( a far greater honor). Thanks to @FaulknerLaw for its support!
It’s not quite an early Father’s Day gift, but today I received copies of one of my recent law review articles, which looks at lawyers’ obligations re: their expert witnesses’ use of AI. Thanks to the editors at Nova Law, and to @FaulknerLaw for supporting my scholarship!
I’m honored by the invitation to speak at UT Law CLE’s annual Dawson Conference on Criminal Appeals! It was to speak on AI and appeals, and it was even better to see former students, colleagues & friends, and of course fellow appellate judges from all over Texas!
Did my civic duty today and voted. Regardless of who you’re voting for or what issue you do or don’t support, please make your voice heard and vote!
Mixed emotions at yesterday’s @faulknerlaw graduation. So proud of our students, but I will miss them as well. My spirits were lifted by the arrival of another of my book chapters and a law review article. Now, onto the grading…
