I put together a small Diwali gift guide for men,
30 gifts across 10 categories, mostly from Indian brands. Nobody paid to be on it, and nobody can.
Here are my 8 top picks 👇

With an Air India co-branded card reportedly launching soon, here’s what I’d want, and what I absolutely wouldn’t, in a premium Air India card.
👍 Must-haves
• 2%–3% earn rate in Maharaja Points on all spends
• • 5x accelerated earn on select bonus categories
• 10x earn on Air India spends
• Maharaja Club Silver status
• No points expiry as long as you hold the card
• Tier Miles on spending that count toward status (milestone- or spend-based)
❤️ Nice-to-haves
• 10% fewer points required for award flights
• 2–4 one-class upgrade vouchers (milestone based)
• 1–2 companion vouchers (milestone based)
❌ Hard no
• Instant Maharaja Gold status. If everyone’s elite, no one is.
• “Free flight” vouchers. We’ve seen how those end up - mostly resold.
However, the most important thing - a co-branded card is only as good as the loyalty program it rides on, and in its current shape and form, I don't find myself reaching for my Maharaja points very often.
What fee would you pay for this card?
Tandem paragliding at Kamshet with Temple Pilots, from ₹3,000
Fifteen minutes over Pawna lake with a certified instructor. Season runs October to May. Give a memory, not a box.

At what salary does paying cash for business class actually make sense?
Points people, please sit this one out. I already know your answer. 😛

Credit Cards are a scam.
wdym that I could book the same flights she paid ₹1.5L for just ₹4000 bucks?

₹1.5 lakh for Air India business class, Delhi to Goa. The airline sends you to @EncalmIndia. Chaotic, barely a seat in sight.
Encalm is a lovely name. Ambitious, though. Perhaps call it Endure?
As for @airindia, is the premium experience delayed, diverted or cancelled?
Next up: I killed my friend just to test whether his life insurance is real.
This is why we can’t have good things, and why we don’t deserve them.
I hope Apple rejects this under the “intentional damage” clause, and bans people like him from buying AppleCare on future purchases.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Apple scraps damage-and-theft protection in India soon.

The best use of your credit card points is to redeem them for toasters. 🍞
Flying business class "ALWAYS" is the biggest waste of travel rewards.
You waste 100k points for an 8-hour flight when those same points could fund a two-week hotel stay at your destination.
A seat is just a seat, and you sleep through most of it anyway.
But others argue that arriving refreshed and skipping airport chaos saves invaluable time and energy.
Is luxury transit an optimization asset, or is it a vanity metric that drains your hard-earned rewards? 🌍
