Bismillah - sharing the intention of relaunching @thinkbites this September inshaAllah.
It’s a passion project I started with an amazing volunteer team a while back. We released content for a year or so, til life circumstances forced us to take a pause. Praying for barakah.

“The concept of barakah in regard to time shows us that it has multiple dimensions. While time is generally expressed in terms of length, divine blessing gives it an element of breadth.”

Incredibly honored to have my beloved teacher and dear friend Sheikh @YousefWahb share his words with us. This article is an excellent introduction into how Muslims should approach and think about the pursuit of Islamic knowledge. Allah help us all on our journeys.
Ever wonder how and where to begin seeking knowledge?
Sh. @YousefWahb discusses how Muslims in North America should approach studying our tradition and the barriers they might face.

Assalamu alaikum friends,
Last Ramadan, we made the first posts announcing that @thinkbites was in development. In September 2020 we started sharing details about our logo and mission. And in October 2020, we finally launched.
Alhamdulilah.

During Ramaḍān during quarantine, I realised how much we are in control of how we spend time worshipping and how we prioritise our worship. I also learned that having more time does not result to worshipping more if you're in a poor state of mind.

May Allah accept from you all anything that you’re able to give and make it a means of sadaqa jaariya, continuous charity, in the form of beneficial knowledge that outlives us all. May He bless our wealth and accept our charitable giving as a means of purification and elevation.

I personally dislike online crowdfunding because I feel like it is disproportionately advantageous to people and causes who already have influence and access to resources. For that reason I say: please prioritize the poor and needy and disenfranchised with your charitable giving.
