i have an actual theory on this- i think the average person knows so little about EDs that they see someone eating low calorie foods and think you’re not starving yourself because they saw you eat. people that have actively counted calories before and have the concept of “when i eat [healthy deficit] i feel like shit” have way more perspective of how awful EDs can be
outside smoking and had a little chat with the neighbor about the hedgehog and she was so delighted. “oh i had a suspicion we had one around here but i’ve never seen one! now we know to look after our little hedgehog!” i love this woman
genuinely the biggest tip for anyone trying to learn a language is do the accent and yes you WILL feel a little racist about it but that’s just how the language sounds. i started talking like a cartoon villain and suddenly received tons of compliments on how much my german has improved

it only hit me recently how insane it is people do not understand adhd.
its like asking someone with a broken foot to run. they can do it, it really sucks, and they want to be able to run but they cant.
