Jayz has never bought his own albums to boost sales. A very emphatic Never. The most he did was trying the whole platinum in one day stint with sprint for MCHG but it was dodgy.
However for 4:44, that was pure sales and even Billboard and RIAA had to recognize and give him his plaque regardless of the sprint also being in the mix of that after they bought Tidal shares.
Any number you see from his album is organic pure sales..
