Procrastination isn't laziness or a lack of motivation. It's a defense mechanism you use (often without even realizing it) to protect your self-esteem.
When a task matters and you're afraid you won't do it well enough, putting it off lets you tell yourself, "If it goes badly, it's because I ran out of time," instead of facing the more painful thought "Maybe I'm just not capable."
You avoid the shame and the hit to your self image, but end up with more anxiety, more guilt, and worse results.
It's temporary relief that traps you in a vicious cycle.
You choose.
Procrastination isn’t about laziness. It is intentional task deferral when deadlines matter, despite knowing the delay may hurt your performance, reputation, or peace of mind. Here's what often lies beneath procrastinating tendencies. psychologytoday.com/us/blog/…

Makes a lot of sense
I grew up in the e-commerce space.
The biggest hitters were never “Gurus.”
They can make a shit ton as an influencer, like Ansem, Kimchi, etc.
But personal development is a billion dollar industry: 1 billion people fighting for $1 each.
Once in a while you have breakouts like Sam Ovens, Alex Hormozi, Dan Lok, etc.
Hit a good lick, then get washed.
Meanwhile, the guys doing the work they yap about, in the backrooms, make 10x what the influencer does.
Crypto is going through what digital marketing did.
The market is saturated with LARP influencers.
I knew a top influencer in the e-com space, but they were a real operator.
Hundreds of thousands of followers. Engagement compounding. Making ~$200k/month, all metrics up & to the right.
Woke up one day, & completely shut down their 7-figure influencer operation.
The money they were making from their real e-com biz was +$500k/month which isn’t out of the ordinary for a top operator, in-fact it’s low.
Crypto is the same. The biggest hitters are behind-the-scenes printing 9-figures, while the influencers are Jestermaxxing, trying to convince you they’re “him”, so they can print off their “job” which is as an influencer, & not an operator, trader, or investor.
I've had this idea on my mind for days, and today I finally got to write about it.
Hope you guys enjoy it.
