If you drive an automatic, this small parking habit is worth knowing. 🚗
When parking:
1) Come to a complete stop and keep the brake pressed.
2) Shift to N (Neutral).
3) Apply the parking/handbrake.
4) Shift to P (Park).
5) Switch off the engine.
6) Release the foot brake.
Why does this help?
It lets the parking brake hold the car’s weight instead of the transmission’s parking pawl taking the load. This can reduce the strain that occurs when the car settles against the pawl—especially when parked on an incline—and can make shifting out of P smoother.
A small habit, but good to know if you drive an automatic.

My unsolicited suggestion to anyone planning to buy a car:
Don't decide after a 15-minute showroom test drive.
Rent your shortlisted model from a self-drive service for a weekend. Live with it.
Drive it in traffic, park it at home, take your family along and use it exactly the way you normally would.
Spending a few thousand rupees on a rental is far cheaper than regretting a ₹10 lakh purchase later. 😎

Fwiw, I understand and appreciate the move to ethanol blends for fuel. Energy independence is an absolutely great goal to chase.
The only gripe is for those of us with older cars, and that begs the question why the proposed plan is E20/22/27/30/85?
Instead of simply: E10/20/30/85. Even if E10 comes at a vast premium, but is available widely pan India. XP100 is not the solution, for various technical reasons beyond price.

Around 80% of people don’t even realize that tyres have a manufacturing date marked on them.
Do check it once! Tyres typically have a lifespan of about 4–5 years, so always look at the date and replace them if they’re too old driving on aged tyres is a serious safety risk.
Also, when buying a new car, make sure to check the tyre manufacturing date, as they are often already 6–10 months old👍🏻

MAJOR SCAM ALERT: MANALI TO MANDI HIGHWAY ⚠️
Is anyone else seeing this?
Groups of men wearing high-visibility vests are posing as "Traffic Control" near Mandi and extorting ₹300 from private vehicles using fake receipts! 🛑
Red Flags Spotted:
> Spelling Errors: Receipt says "Recived" and "Firstad Box".
> Misleading Authority: They claim it’s for "Radium Reflectors" but are targeting private cars (non-commercial).
> Aggressive Tactics: They are stopping travelers in broad daylight and charging money without any legal mandate.
@himachalpolice @MandiPolice, how is this happening openly on a major highway?
Are these individuals authorized to collect cash?
This is damaging the state’s reputation among tourists.
Please investigate and take strict action!

One of the reasons to buy a Skoda Yeti is to give it an EA855 engine.
AKA the engine from the Audi RS3.
So therefore you won't have to worry being the slow Yeti driver and that you can absolutely humiliate anyone.

Dubai uses:
Water-spraying trucks
Automated sweepers
Night-time cleaning shifts
The roads are built with:
High-quality asphalt
Proper drainage
Smooth surfaces that don’t trap dust
Dubai treats road maintenance like a priority service, not an occasional task.
Dedicated teams monitor sand accumulation, especially after strong winds.
In short: Desert outside. Zero tolerance for dust inside.
That’s why Dubai roads always look polished.

BMW's one of the most ''BMW'' things to do is to create a rear-drive-wheel drive hot hatchback.
This example built between 2012 and 2016, its 3.0-litre N55 straight-six made 320 HP, paired with either a manual or automatic.
And if you want the ultimate flex, get it as a 2 door.
Small, agile, and unfiltered, the hatchback that felt like a real BMW from behind the wheel.
If you look at the later models, like F40 or F70.
They are just front wheel drive or AWD and don't have that sound of the straight six.
