Most small businesses post, get 3 likes, and give up. This is the loop we built into Chirpy so your posts actually get people talking back. Try it free: chirpy.me/?utm_source=x&utm_…

a cheap phone tripod. half the reason owners never film anything is there's nowhere to put the phone
hot take for local business owners
a phone photo of your actual team doing the actual work beats any polished graphic you'll ever post
anyone seen the opposite?
Replying to @SamanthaAnderl
fair, people buy from people. the work is just an easier place to start, the personal stuff gets easier once you're posting regularly
Replying to @RyanKnuppel
saying yes to every 'quick call'. most of them could've been a two line email and I get whole afternoons back now
Replying to @leonabboud
makes sense. that first conversation usually tells you more than any content plan will
Replying to @willcoombe
yep and once that's clear the content mostly writes itself. the stuck ones I've seen were all trying to talk to everyone at once
Replying to @SamanthaAnderl
the cringe mostly goes away when you post about the work instead of about yourself. a before and after from a real job does more selling than any 'so proud to announce' post

B for most of the businesses I've run. funny thing is the line between B and C is blurry now, half the time a friend recommending you is just them sending your post to someone
Replying to @MediaKing
pretty sure that's variation stacking. seller adds the new phone size to an old listing and every review from the old cases carries over. not fake exactly, just not about that case
monday question for business owners
how do you actually know where your new customers come from?
in most businesses I've run we just asked people and wrote it down. still beats any dashboard I've used
Replying to @willcoombe
same with social. owners ask why nobody engages and the posts are written for everyone. the ones that work sound like they're talking to one specific customer
Replying to @leonabboud
pushing only works if it's toward something he already said he wanted, so you weren't wrong to. most owners I know aren't stuck on how to post, they're stuck on what to say. did he say what was holding him up?
copying the look is the easy bit. pacing is what makes a short work. does it pick up the cut timing from the reference clip or just the visual style?

same in every business I've run. the milestone day is just a normal day. what actually changed was decisions got quicker, less agonising over every spend. did it change how you hire?
honest question for local business owners
what's the one post that actually brought a customer through your door?
not likes. an actual paying customer

fair, 90k from pdfs vs 10k adsense says it all. the pdfs are the real business, the channel is just the shop window

the cheek of offering you 50/50 on your own book. at least he proved there's demand in italy

7 interested out of 496 for custom murals is solid. when I ran a restaurant I'd have actually read that one, a painted wall is something customers photograph for you. did restaurants or shops reply more?
Replying to @immcguyver @robertoblake
makes sense. adsense was always the weakest part of it. a channel that sells its own thing has something to stand on when the rules change
Replying to @robertoblake
you called it early. the people who show up as themselves will be fine, a lot of the rest was renting attention off a loophole
