‼️နိုင်ငံရေးမကောင်းတာနဲ့ပတ်သတ်ပြီးရောချနေကျလို့ နိုင်ငံရေးအခြေအနေတစ်ခုနဲ့ လူမျိုးတစ်မျိုးရဲ့ ယဉ်ကျေးမှု၊ သမိုင်းနဲ့ အမျိုးသားအမှတ်သညာဟာ လုံးဝမတူညီပါဘူး။ နိုင်ငံရေးပြဿနာတွေ ရှိနေတာကြောင့် မြန်မာပြည်သူတွေရဲ့ ရိုးရာဝတ်စားဆင်ယင်မှု၊ အနုပညာနဲ့ ယဉ်ကျေးမှုအမွေအနှစ်တွေကို စော်ကားဖို့၊ မူလရင်းမြစ်ကို လျစ်လျူရှုဖို့ ဒါမှမဟုတ် ကိုယ့်ပိုင်အဖြစ် မှားယွင်းဖော်ပြဖို့ ဘယ်သူ့မှာမှ အကြောင်းပြချက် မရှိပါဘူး Just because Myanmar is facing political problems, does that mean our cultural heritage is now fair game for disrespect, appropriation, or misrepresentation? A country’s political situation and its people’s cultural identity are two completely different things. Political difficulties do not give anyone the right to disrespect Myanmar’s traditional clothing, traditional dances, art, or cultural heritage. Nor do they justify erasing the origins of our traditions or falsely presenting them as someone else’s own. If you disagree with a government, criticize its policies. If you oppose a political system, express your concerns. But do not use a country’s political struggles as an excuse to disrespect the culture and heritage of its people. Myanmar’s traditional attire, Oil Lamp Dance, and other cultural traditions do not lose their value because of political circumstances. They carry the history, identity, and generations of dedication of the people who have preserved them. Disagree with our politics if you wish, but do not disrespect our culture. Myanmar’s political struggles do not make our cultural heritage any less worthy of respect. Our heritage is not something to punish us for. Our culture is not a target for political prejudice. Respect Myanmar’s people. Respect our traditions. Acknowledge the origins of our cultural heritage. Politics should never be used as an excuse to erase or disrespect a people’s cultural identity.
