BREAKING NEWS: The three Ethiopian nationals who are accused of the attempted murder that led to riots and torching of cars and businesses in the Durban CBD three weeks ago have been freed on R5000 bail by the Durban Magistrate’s Court. The State wanted them to remain behind bars, saying they are flight risks, but the defence disagreed. The State said they won’t be safe outside, but the defence argued that all three accused literally live minutes away from three police stations in the Durban CBD and their safety is guaranteed. The Magistrate remarked that the three are asylum seekers and as such, they enjoy the same constitutional rights as South Africans and freed them on bail with stringent conditions. Furthermore, the State tried to point out discrepancies in their passports and asylum documents, raising issues of possible fraud and corruption. I’m utterly disgusted by @orlandopirates, the treatment of season ticket holders is PATHETIC and UNCONSTITUTIONAL! We pay a lot with our hard earned money and yet we are treated HORRIBLY. Being told the Soweto Derby, a Pirates HOME game at FNB Stadium is excluded. We are sent from pillar to post between The club, ticketing company and stadium management. Who is accountable? How can you claim to value your supporters while failing to communicate such crucial information clearly? If the Sundowns game goes to FNB this means the package is EXACTLY the same as someone who didn’t buy the season ticket, we have every right to question the value of this package. And the worst part is that… Lol they told themselves that they don’t “answer to anyone”. We are loyal supporters, not cash cows. We deserve transparency, accountability and fair treatment, not confusion and excuses. I’m genuinely livid that our loyalty is being met with this level of disregard. Pirates MUST address this and give clear answers! 🤬🏴‍☠️🚮
