It's not surprising that Putin would waste their time given that he appears to have no interest in any genuine talks, but it's a sign of how isolated and detached from reality he is that he didn't think this would just make him look ridiculous.
NEW: Vladimir Putin spent most of his call with the leaders of Finland and Norway ranting about Slavic history, underscoring Europe's tough task backing Ukraine in peace talks. The planned 20-minute call dragged on for 90. A ceasefire barely came up: ft.com/content/a384acd1-c90c…

Königsberg independence party announces plans to protest against the militarization of the region A conference of the Baltic Republican Party, which advocates independence for the Kaliningrad region and the restoration of its historical name, was held in Berlin. Around 50 people originally from the region attended the event. Participants elected Vadim Petrov, a regional activist designated a “foreign agent” in Russia, as the party’s chairman.

Mbappe forced to apologise to the “Chinese people” because he called Chairman Mao a dictator. Everybody knows Chairman Mao was a dictator. He killed 50 million Chinese people. Xi Jinping himself got tortured as a kid in Mao’s purges. I fucking hate the way that the Chinese try force everybody in the world to cuck themselves like this and censor themselves about the psycho history of the Chinese Communist Party.

This is so funny because Mao himself unabashedly admitted his dictatorship and bragged he killed more intellectuals than the notorious Chinese tyrant Qin Shi Huang

Privet Politology/SVR - You've been pwned...again. INPACT/AEOW has received hundreds of very recent documents dated of 2025-2026 about the SVR-controlled Politology network. Despite drastic security measures, a new hack from unknown hacking group reveals how Politology has re-organised following previous investigations and is now not only targeting Africa and Latin America but also Europe, International Organisation, the Middle East and India. Gorbachev was obviously quite smart, but even the smartest communists bought into really dumb Marxist ideas. Gorbachev thought that once a country moved from capitalism to socialism, it could never go back. He believed this was a scientific law of history. He also thought that Poland, Hungary, and the rest of Eastern Europe would be so grateful for their communist regimes that they would always be loyal to the Soviet Union. Sarah Paine explains how Gorbachev’s Marxist ideas undermined the USSR:

This is an important venture and I applaud Palmer Luckey for doing it. However even if almost all of our tier 1 suppliers are American we are still pretty quickly going to find that our tier 3 and 4 suppliers are in places like China, the Netherlands, Taiwan and South Korea.
ANDURIL AND QUALCOMM $QCOM ARE STARTING A NEW LAPTOP COMPANY CALLED BLUECHIP The laptops will be rugged and waterproof, built for the military, police, and first responders, per WSJ. Anduril will make them at its Arsenal-1 plant in Ohio, and Qualcomm's chips will be made at TSMC's Arizona plant. Founder Palmer Luckey says 90% of each laptop already comes from the US and its allies, with a plan to go fully American-made.

Ja Putins sapņo par NATO atkāpšanos šajās robežās, tad pat ja sapņu scenārījā NATO kaut kam tādam piekristu, tad tas nākošajā dienā izveidotu Ragozina lielāko murgu - Intermarium par realitāti.
🚨 Putin plans to use Ukraine peace talks to push NATO back to its 1997 military posture According to The Telegraph, the Kremlin wants to force NATO to scale back its military presence in Europe to levels seen before Eastern European countries joined the Alliance. This could mean demanding the withdrawal of NATO forces from Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland. That is why Moscow is pushing for European countries to participate in negotiations over Ukraine. Diplomatic sources cited by The Telegraph say Putin wants to turn talks about ending the war into negotiations over the entire European security architecture. The issue may also have been discussed during Putin's three-hour meeting with Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in St. Petersburg. However, European countries have previously rejected the Kremlin's demands to reduce NATO's military presence on its eastern flank.

i've been 'canceled' by academia multiple times i'll tell you how it goes: it "comes out" that i'm right-wing and have controversial views. then threads emerge from female academics saying "well, i can't be friends with him, or even friends with someone who is friends with him"
my left-wing male friends think i'm misguided and laugh it off. my left-wing female friends who become ex-friends (back during academic days they assumed i was liberal cuz i was in science) get exasperated and angry (i still have some lib female friends tho, unangry ones)
