Do you analyse Multiplexed Assays of Variant Effect (MAVE) data? Maybe our recent R package `mutscan` could be of interest to you (github.com/fmicompbio/mutsca…, paper: doi.org/10.1186/s13059-023-0…). Thanks to @CSoneson, @AlexBendel_ and @Guillaune_Diss for the wonderful collaboration!

I remember the time when trying to keep up with 256 channels was challenging and required many cores... Worth noting that system is keeping up with 3000 pores - real time base calling and adaptive sampling - on a laptop GPU... and another flow cell could go on!

Great talk by Dr Fanny Wegner (@fannywegner) at #ECCMID on genomic SARS-COV-2 #surveillance in Switzerland. 1/3 of sequencing would have been sufficient. #COVID19

Indeed highly important to have a early warning system - better to be informed about emerging pathogens! In CH the „Swiss Pathogen Surveillance Platform“ would allow to monitor new pathogens. Check out: spsp.ch for more info. #innovation #sequencing #microbes
🔗bit.ly/3EAFekG

#AI can determine antimicrobial resistance of pathogens faster than previous methods. “The time taken to optimize antibiotic therapy might mean the difference between life and death,” says Prof. Adrian Egli. @AppliedMicrobi2 @ETH @UniSpitalBasel bit.ly/3tvtwTV
