Harbor and UCLA are looking for caregivers or persons with mild #Alzheimers or MCI to participate in a 1.5 hour focus group. They will receive a $70 gift card. We are primarily looking for individuals from underrepresented groups, such as Hispanic/Latinx & Black participants

Congrats to @Aaron_Gordon1!
It’s out! “Neuronal defects in a human cellular model of 22q11.2 deletion syndrome” in which we used 3D human cortical spheroids neurons to study the pathways linked to neuropsychiatric disease in 22q11.2 deletion. rdcu.be/b7N8D
Strong work by @Gokul_Ramaswami.
Proud and excited to share our work on multi-omic integration in Autism! 1/4

Thanks to the R25 and support of UCLA. Looking forward to continuing as faculty with these colleagues
Replying to @UCLANeurology
Past R25 awardees already are young faculty at @UCLANeurology including Ahmet Arac (@aarac_neuro), Ranmal Samarasinghe, Tim Chang (@timschang), & Will Zeiger (@ZeigerLab). Also, a little farther past includes @HinmanLabUCLA.
Rock Star.
Congrats to Dr. Ranmal Samarasinghe for his new grants from @SimonsFdn & @CureEpilepsy!

Last day in clinic with Dr. Allan Wu, neurology movement disorder #dystonia expert, before he moves on to his next step. Been amazing to learn from him. Who will give me weekly #Epic tips now? @UCLANeurology
Great working with Dan Geschwind @GeschwindLab, @vivekenigma and our collaborators on this project
Excited to share our publication by @vivekenigma and @timschang where we use a multi-omic, multi-cohort approach to identify robust early and late proteomic changes in Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative dementias, and find that genetic risk is differentially enriched
