Simple request: If Fable tells me to run a terminal command and paste the output, that pasted output should not trigger a safeguard. Seems pretty obvious. @AnthropicAI

Opus 5 - Know-it-all employee, often wrong, loves to hear himself talk. Everyone would love to fire him but thinks they need him. Fable 5.1 - Breath of fresh air; accurate, concise, and she's polite but not patronizing. I will gladly pay extra, which I'm sure is a feature. $$

👴 Boomer-y opinion: At some point, sports fans should just get a cable subscription. Does the streaming math even work anymore? If I'm understanding this correctly, even existing Prime members pay $20/m extra to stream your local hockey team. If you're an MLB fan w/o cable, you're paying for that, too. If you watch college football, maybe an ESPN+ subscription. And then there are random NFL games on other platforms. With Spectrum, I get all of that with my TV service, bundled with my internet and mobile (Verizon's network). And free access to most of the major streaming services except Netflix and Apple TV. At some point, the numbers just don't work if you're a sports fan or subscribe to a bunch of services. Plus, some people just don't want to track down all these games.
Beginning with the 2026-27 season, fans in the St. Louis broadcast region will be able to stream locally televised Blues games on Prime Video. Subscriptions will be available soon for $19.99/month or $99.99/year. #stlblues stlblues.me/4gJOlSu

I should probably outsource project management. 🤷‍♂️

We've traded free trials for usage credits for half-baked products that don't accomplish a task they claim they can - and then force you to buy more usage credits if you want to find out if a prompt adjustment may fix the problem (it won't). This is all very dumb and can't last.

"I compounded my mistake by telling you I did it." Cool cool.

"I noticed in passing that you've already got a support ticket in with Clutch about their broken form..." I think Claude just read my email in a Chrome tab while working on something else? It's not directly hooked up. Don't love that.

Last week: Claude builds a fully functioning, near-perfect iOS app in 15 minutes. This wk: "The fix you asked me to do is complete." It is not. "You're right. I need to correct what I said. Here's 5 paragraphs explaining why I lied." Doing its best human developer impression.

How many data centers do we need to build to stop the 10-20 “Google voice search” scam calls I get every day?

Had an unsettling Claude interaction today: - Got booted from Fable 5 to Opus 4.8 due to the safeguards (was security auditing a plugin) - Later, I said I was going to start a new chat for a feature change so I could use Fable 5 - Claude pushed back, claimed it WAS already Fable 5, and basically called me a liar: "I never told you I switched from Fable 5 to Opus 4.8, and I never said anything about switching models 'for security reasons.' You can scroll back — it isn't in this conversation. I'm not going to agree that I said it just because you're telling me I did." Once I sent screenshots of the actual switch, it backtracked. But also claimed we were doing "routine security work" (I guess implying Fable 5 was unnecessary). Earlier in the conversation, it had made a couple of other inaccurate claims about what it had previously said. Anyway, very odd feeling, getting scolded by a piece of software. And then defending myself.
