Being lectured to about social cohesion by a commercial news executive. Amazing stuff. Negative self-awareness detected.

The Premier's been blasted for playing disgusting politics after Labor announced abortions will be free in Victoria if it wins next month. The party is attempting to make reproductive rights an election issue, even though Jess Wilson has ruled out any changes to laws. @heidmur The Premier joins #9News to explain.

This reporter inserting her opinion into the election is political. Make no mistake.
People argue that this policy isn’t political but this is something the government could fund without legislation - and without an election - yet has chosen not to. Make no mistake, its timing is entirely political. #springst

Cost and where you live are the biggest barriers for women trying to access an abortion. Ben Carroll and Labor will fix that. Because abortion care is healthcare. And your right to healthcare should not depend on your bank account or your postcode.

My favourite part of the Josh Frydenberg puff piece to promote his new book on @60Mins was definitely the part where The Walking Ego is pictured walking around with…his own book. Never stop being Josh, Josh

As Frydenberg attempts a comeback, journos should ask him two questions I was asking in 2020-21: 1. Why didn’t you take advantage of 2% 30-yr bond yields to lock in the COVID debt at 2% rates for 30 yrs? 2. Why was there no inflation risk assessment of your COVID spending?

One Nation have released their Victoria election policy document, one third of which is dedicated to crime. Law experts say the policies are fanciful and would cost many billions of dollars to be implemented. Denham Sadler reports. trib.al/ttiFmXg

Israel has revoked the aliyah eligibility of two young Jewish activists, one British and one American, who have worked to protect Palestinian communities in the West Bank from settler and military violence. These are the first known cases in which the authorities appear to be violating the Law of Return, which grants every Jew the right to immigrate to Israel. 🔗haaretz.com/israel-news/2026…

Regardless of who wins the Norm Smith medal, I think it is unwise of the AFL to have adjudicators of the award sitting in the crowd - assuming that is where they did watch the game from - as surely alongside your partner/family you are not going to view the game in totality I think it should be former players/coaches who are commentating … a lot to choose from of very high quality in the sport #AFLGF

Before you share this one, know what you're sharing. Every "fact" in that Daily Mail piece comes from one person. One. The granddaughter. No court. No coroner finding. No police conclusion. The care home hasn't said a word and the clinicians involved say she consented. The Daily Mail wrote "euthanised against her will" in the headline as a settled fact when it's the exact question two Ontario regulators and Belleville Police are still trying to answer. Now look at who's carrying it. Breitbart. LifeNews. Daily Caller. The Blaze. Rebel. Slay News. Not one major Canadian newsroom, in a country where a story this big would be on every front page if it held up. It started on a MAID activist's Substack in July, got laundered through a UK tabloid in September, and by Monday US Republicans were using it to campaign against Canada. That's the pipeline. Same one that gave you "Canada euthanizes veterans for PTSD" and "MAID for the poor." Take a grieving family, strip out the words "alleges" and "under investigation," add a prayer photo, and ship it south so people who've never read the Criminal Code can tell Canadians how our healthcare works. If a nurse botched an IV and a confused 83-year-old was walked into MAID without valid consent, someone should lose their license and maybe their freedom. That's what the investigation is for. Until it reports, this is an allegation with a marketing budget, and the people screaming loudest don't want the answer, they want the story. Jason Kenny is nothing but an attentions seeking twat.
If you support Canada’s “MAID” regime, please have the courage and curiosity to read every word of this article. It is a searing inditement of the Supreme Court’s decision to trample on its own precedent, and the democratic decisions of Parliament, by opening the floodgates to killing the elderly and the infirm. If the claims made here are credible, the Crown must charge those responsible for the murder of Brigitte Stegemann. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon her. dailymail.com/news/article-1…

You might think this positive story is about the Victorian premier ( that would be a VERY rare thing) … but, no, the ‘human’ element focuses on Warren Pickering.

Look, I have nothing against people believing in the invisible sky man, but religion and politics do not mix in a secular country. Nicole Werner was the Liberal candidate for Box Hill in 2022 and got completely trounced. Yet, for some mind-boggling reason, the Liberals decided she deserved to be parachuted into the safe seat of Warrandyte for the 2023 by-election. Why? She’s a Pentecostal ex-youth pastor from Planetshakers, a religious zealot who shouldn't be anywhere near government. To make matters worse, she is now the Shadow Minister for Child Protection and Shadow Minister for Youth. Do you really trust someone with that background making decisions about the welfare of vulnerable children? How do you think that's going to go?

Apparently the stars have aligned for Frydenberg to reclaim the seat the media seems to think was issued with his birth certificate. He was a lacklustre MP, uninspired treasurer and a woeful campaigner and lost Kooyong as a result. The voters removed him deliberately.
