the fact ppl r so mad that ariana grande is “promoting” her eating disorder just because she’s famous and an influential person is kinda interesting to me because with that logic, should influential people not be allowed to struggle with mental illness? ana is a mental illness that makes physical changes to the body. so if a celeb has an eating disorder should they hide from the public? their careers would tank if so, who knows how long recovery would take? their career could be ruined by then. and if it were a celeb gaining weight unhealthily instead of losing, people would applaud that. any other mental illness would not be scrutinized as much as ana. not defending her because i can see why ppl would be mad at her but that situation got me thinking ab this. it’s interesting how people see anorexic people as evil or something when really they’re just struggling mentally
