there's a fundamental error in this reasoning. you're 37, you're lonely, and you've concluded that marrying someone earlier would have been the better decision.
but you're comparing your actual circumstances to an imaginary marriage in which everything worked out. you have no idea what the alternative would have looked like.
you could just as easily be 40, divorced, financially devastated, and wishing you'd never gotten married in the first place.
marriage does not solve the problem of loneliness. it's an enormous commitment with its own costs and risks.
your dissatisfaction with the result of your choice is not proof that the other choice would have been better.
