How does America making unilateral economic concessions to Russia end the war? You make the concessions as part of the peace deal!

So the "peace talks" are just a cover for the business negotiations
NEW!! U.S. and Russian teams have discussed a sweeping slate of potential energy and commercial deals, including Russian diesel sales, Lukoil’s overseas assets and a possible revival of Nord Stream gas flows to Europe, two U.S. officials informed about the talks told me 1/2

Israel BREAKING: It appears that Netanyahu’s call to arms on election day got voters out to vote for his Likud party at the expense of his coalition partners on the harder right. He’s increased his party’s share - but cannibalised his own bloc for power

I finally saw Spielberg's Disclosure Day. It was quite clearly a glorification of ufology culture. "Experiencers" portrayed as messianic figures. Aliens as near-gods. The entire pantheon of UFO mythology taken as true. A fun but simplistic what-if, but ultimately ridiculous

Israeli elections are fun because: 1. Israel is the subject of intense global interest 2. Israeli politics is deeply polarized 3. Despite (2), the blocs don't really disagree about the thing that the world is interested in

Quite funny to have <checks notes> former Nation of Islam member and anti-Vietnam activist Muhammad Ali in the "good old America" montage.

I've said a lot of negative things about Dave Rubin, but credit where it's due: Creating conservaslop that truly stands out on X in its idiocy and hysteria is like beating SGA, Luka Doncic, and Wemby in a game of 1-on-3, and D-Rubez nailed this.
I used AI to create this short film. America, you’ve been warned.

As long as I have breath in my body I will keep saying that men like Matt Ratley - and the men who support them - are deeply weird individuals who have found a way to make women feel uncomfortable while being applauded by other deeply weird individuals in the name of ‘inclusivity’.
Oxford lecturer Matt Rattley is anxious about meeting his students, and asks that people don't comment on his eye bags. Dr Rattley, your eyes are not the problem...

The best government is one so small that it doesn’t matter who wins the election.
A reminder that an underrated argument for libertarianism is that you’d experience less anxiety about elections if the state had less power.

Is this the outfit he wore? Is this the "female in a dress with brown hair" the RCMP warned the public about while the shooting was occurring? I've never seen a description farther from the truth. xitter.cf/AmazingZoltan/status/2…
RCMP describing the shooter as a "female in a dress with brown hair" is not only bizarre, inappropriate, and oddly vague (like describing a shooter as "a blonde man wearing pants") it also would have put any brunette woman or girl at the school wearing a dress at undue risk.

If the "trans gun" detail hadn't come out in U.S. Department of Justice filings, I can almost guarantee you that the RCMP never, ever would have told us.
This message hits different when you remember we're still only eight months out from a trans-identified male murdering children at a BC school using a gun decorated with trans flags.

Presumably @UniofOxford is more frightened of being sued by Rattley than by all the students he is harassing by teaching them while wearing vast prosthetic breasts. A peek at their risk register would be interesting.

I have no idea why renaming AI is so bizarrely important to Trump. Nobody cares about the name he chose. Nobody is using it or will use it. And it’s not even technically accurate because “super intelligence” already had an agreed upon, widely adopted definition. This is the weirdest political hill to die on. It gains you nothing. Not a single ordinary American in the country, anywhere, cares deeply about making sure people say “SI” instead of “AI.” We are days away from a major election and this bullshit is the focus? Just baffling.

Many think having a pint is "normal" but that is due to entrenched historical traditions and therapeutic myths encouraged by the drinks industry. Often used by politicians for "man of the ppl" rhetoric. It is a actually a harmful psychoactive drug on many levels. @grok #Gogglebox

I'm sure the BBC would say a patronising climate bit is more appropriate for the world stage but why not inform the other cultures of the world about our own local primitive broken superstitious belief system in genders and scientists being attacked like witches for exposing it?

Look forward to listen to Sally Baxendale but notice for some reason the BBC didn't put her interview on their world service version of this ep of Inside Science. Downloaded the mp3 to listen later & notice at 19:31 they have a climate change bit instead bbc.co.uk/programmes/w3ct978…
