Ok confusing NLAS and LibCon isn’t the dumbest thing I’ve done, let’s be real

You know, I would hope people could recognize a joke about Soros needing to stop feeding right-wing conspiracies, but I probably shouldn't expect much from the guy who spent 2 weeks going around DC falsely claiming I banned him from NLAS because he got NLAS confused with LibCon.
These guys should love Lula. He’s the king of triangulation. Brazilian Mitt Romney is his VP. He implemented the world’s largest means tested UBI program. He hasn’t tried to bail out the communist Cuban government. His opponent was helped by Russia & Trump.

If I had a nickel for every time I used my free NLAS notebook to give a toast at the wedding of a couple I met at NLAS I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t that much money but still weird it happened twice

Econ Twitter happy hours solves this
This is a huge problem in policymaking and is also true for congressional staffers (and worse for advocates). Get off the internet, go to a third place, act like decent humans, build trust, agree to get to yes together, and solve the problem.

From stolen $1,000 pens to sex offenders in multiple campaign ads to candidates buying a meme coin called Ski Mask Dog, GOP scandals this cycle are so absurd you'd think they came from one of our signature generators. So we went ahead and made a GOP Candidate Scandal Generator

starting to lose my mind with lastpass. What's funny is their mobile app has actually improved a good bit since I started using it in 2022, but the chrome extension has degraded and become a total piece of dogshit software

Really excited to release CNL’s newest generator tomorrow, but for some reason it just keeps generating real scandals?

After the successes of our Kamala Harris Policy Generator and Donald Trump Economic Policy Generator, we’re excited to release our new Republican Candidate Scandal Generator tomorrow morning. First, though, we have to fix this bug where it keeps generating real scandals.

Bipartisan permitting reform is a rare chance to build the power plants and transmission lines America needs. PPI’s Neel Brown warns that rejecting this deal for a better one later could repeat Democrats’ 1974 mistake on health care policy and stall reform for decades. radicallypragmatic.org/p/wil…

The Dispatch doesn't endorse candidates routinely, but it does when one candidate is distinctly the better choice for an important office. This Senate race is one of those cases. cdispatch.com/opinions/our-v…

A University of Chicago student group is protesting in downtown Chicago for the repeal of the Onion Futures Act of 1958. The act bans the trading of futures contracts on onions as well as on movies' box office earnings.
