hi, thank you & goodbye
this was very fun! i’m glad i met so many people here and hitting 500 friends was especially exciting even though i didn’t get to interact with many of you, i suppose that’s the reality of social media :(
little bit of a ramble on my walk tonight yes
truth is it was always a bit of a dream of mine to be able to make money online. not in the influencer sense not like thousands of dollars, maybe even $20, something monthly that shows that i’m not wasting away. something that i can save and put back into my projects.
unfortunately i’m not much of a creator, i love making stuff but i’m horrible at showing it to others.
i used to write blog posts, i even make $10 from it thanks to two generous people! but i always dread publishing stuff because i find advertising it and getting it in front of peoples eyes genuinely exhausting.
i wish i could just write stuff but even on x, you have to write for the algorithm, spin the dice, whatever you want to call it.
so what i’m saying is
i don’t know. you’re not gonna read this far
so i’ll just bury the real reason here
as fun as it is and as much as i enjoy making cool stuff, i can’t afford to
there’s so many hardware projects i’ve fully sketched and designed that i can’t make because i’m not in a position to spare $100-120
i’ve figured how to make a floating robot head but i can’t even afford the electronics let alone the 3d printer that i’d need
maybe it was all for nothing
this platform has allowed me to meet sooo many cool people. it’s truly incredible. it also allowed me to move on from a past relationship.
i’m very much the kind of person to obsess and share everything with someone so after breaking up everything i did ended on a sad note as i didn’t have anyone to share with. thank you for being that person for me.
a lot of you have really cool stuff going on, and i really wish i couldve help more of you with them.
i think an appropriate way to close would be
thank you. for the fun, for the experiences, for the conversations and jokes and the arguments. i hope to meet you again, one day, in this life
goodnight

afterwards it becomes hell

when we said software's dead we never meant it'll be free for all. that was never the goal
software's dead when there's no more software to distribute.
everything is built for you, to your preferences. everything will be perfect, for you.
free might be a side effect of this, but it's not the goal
TIL the whole you can boil a frog if you do it slowly thing is true BUT only if you take out the frogs brain first
they’re done via networks of fraudulent accounts
you mean accounts perfectly normal that are paying you?
Over the last few months, we’ve made significant progress in reducing the effectiveness of distillation attacks against Claude.

it's still a dish to clean up, at that point might as well just make pasta
