At #COP28, world leaders must commit to a new Modern Energy Minimum of 1,000 kilowatt-hours per person per year.
By delivering a minimum level of #energy, those without can enjoy improved livelihoods and greater economic opportunity.

Everyone on the planet deserves abundant energy. Higher energy consumption can – and must – co-exist with achieving climate goals.

I have a New York Times piece this morning reporting on new data that show border crossers have been more likely to be deported under Biden than Trump. It has won him no concessions. He'll be the "Open Borders" pres, regardless. So time for a new approach: legalize immigration.

I think everyone has an "opinion" about Africa's choices in its energy mix because it's easier to bully Africans. Why else would they focus their attention away from India and China? India's coal use is up 83% boss, 83%!. India is doing what it thinks is best for Indians.

Excellent piece by @wang_seaver and @vijramachandran! There cannot be green growth if there's no growth in the first place.

A fantastic talk about how improving human wellbeing and sustainability can—and must—be achieved simultaneously.
My @TEDTalks is now online.
I argue that we have the opportunity to build a world where we can all live well, and tackle our environmental problems at the same time.
This is possible, but not inevitable. We have to push to make that a reality.
