And its a wrap by the good Grace of God... Thank you very much to you @SuzanneRastrick for giving me the opportunity to be your 2024-25 Clinical Fellow. It is without doubt the highlight of my professional career so far. I take away so much of learning that I will be utilising at work, volunteer spaces and my personal life. Every week I looked forward to our one to one catch ups to discuss my projects and also a wide variety of other topics including national policy, national and international AHP Leadership, EDI and much more. But I never expected that we would also talk about football, cricket and gardening! It was fun. I am very grateful for the compassionate leader you were to me. You never ended a meeting without asking about how my son and wife were doing and my future plans. I am also thankful for the constructive feedback and the opportunities you gave me when I had to step up with some of the work. Thank you very much @jstjohnmatthews for all of your support. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said that without your guidance and support, I wouldn't have been able to complete my fellowship. I am grateful 🙏. Thank you @tolanAHP for your timely support whenever I approached you, including the guidance prior to the clinical fellow interview. Your wisdom and guidance is legendary around the AHP Leadership space and I am grateful for your support. Thank you very much @BeverleyHarden , @HindleLinda and your teams for the support you provided. It was integral to the projects I did. Thanks a lot Sarah Cooper for your patience and support. I still remember what you said at Wellington House when I said that something was difficult for me. You said that "difficult" is what I have done by moving countries and working and settling down and not what I said. Those words gave me an important perspective Sarah. Thank you very much Laura Rogers and Chloe Keith-Jopp... Though I met you only halfway through my fellowship our projects gave us a lot of opportunities to work together and I am grateful for the support. Thanks a lot to you Mark, Kaitlyn Majesky, Julie Neethling and Ragi in the POD team who were always super helpful when I came to you. Thank you David Marsden, Prabha Vijayakumar, Frances Slowie and Peter May for the guidance you provided for one of my projects. Your help was very important to shape that work. I will be resuming my substantive role as a Senior Commissioning Manager (Rehab) and Clinical Lead Therapist @NHSGlos from the 8th of May and looking forward to it.

The terms of reference for the Casey #socialcare commission are published today (though staff have been working for a while). There are concerns, particularly timing, but they should offer the scope Baroness Casey needs to do a thorough job. Thread below ⬇️gov.uk/government/publicatio…

Long day but highlight was sharing a platform with @davidwebb_1 & Steve Tolan Good to share views on shifting dentistry from hospital based treatment to community led prevention. Amazing to hear from one of the fellows who spent last year with public health @Leicester_News that oral health remains big priority & great work continuing

We have launched a call for evidence to tackle the health inequalities that men face, from cancer and mental health to the 4-year life expectancy gap between men and women. We need men to help shape services they will actually use. metro.co.uk/2025/04/24/young…
