Washington’s Brian Bonner Jr. rushed for 89 yards for 19 attempts in his return to Los Angeles in a 25-21 loss to No. 18 USC.
Not the result the Huskies wanted, but the true freshman from Valencia High is showing lots of promise to be a great college running back.

It's become "popular" for high school football programs to say "We don't meet on Sundays because of technology."
I don't know that I would do that if I returned to being a Head Coach.
Those Sunday afternoons as a staff were SO valuable to communicate, practice plan, game plan, etc etc.
I just don't see how staffs do it without meeting. The ebb and flow of scouting, and the arguments and the "what ifs" and putting together the week, etc etc etc. I don't see how you can just do all that on text or email or whatever have you.
BUT, I haven't coached since 2018.
Maybe I'm overthinking it.

HELL OF A STORY: #Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes nearly quit football in high school after a disappointing workout at the University of Texas.
Texas wanted Mahomes to play safety instead of quarterback.
Thankfully, his mom convinced him not to give up on football.
Mahomes is now a 3× Super Bowl champion, 2× NFL MVP, and widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in #NFL history.
