2/ Train yourself to go from 10 to 40 to 100 hours of focused work a week. I did this for months building an automated trading system from scratch. 5am-10pm 7days/week
99% of people need #WorkLifeBalance or whatever, and that's great. But I'm talking to the people on a mission.

POV: Vest Markets entering the prop space this month and every other firm trying to tackle them
Over the past few days, I have been seeing a lot of denied payouts and traders banned for winning too much at other prop firms.
We will never ban profitable traders.
A firm that only wins when you lose is fundamentally misaligned. Your profits don’t come from our losses.

Another distraction to make you believe you’re about to fly, while they’re selling you a future of total dependency. First, they take away your control, then your independence until the machines replace you entirely. And the most disturbing part? You’re paying for your own enslavement and calling it progress. I don't want flying cars.
I want rivers and ocean I can swim in with friends.
I want food that isn't full of toxic chemicals and clean soil to grow it in.
I want raw nature and wilderness and places on the earth I can get lost without seeing another human.
I want air that isn't "geoengineered" and polluted.
Science is cool. Technological advancement is cool, but I don't think this makes us happier as humans.
Real human connection and clean, natural food lead to happiness. This I know. Flying cars? I'm not sure.
Maybe I am a troglodyte...

Hey Andrew, sorry you experienced this. I also have been trading for a long time, so I understand how you might feel in this situation.
It seems like there are a few misconceptions of how Vest is different than other firms, so I'd like to clarify it here.
First, these are perpetual futures, which are a fundamentally different product than futures. While they are closely linked, they do not follow the same price. You will see price differences not just on Vest, but on all other perpetual future exchanges or perp prop firms.
Second, Vest is a bit different than other perp prop firms such that trades in a live / funded environment will always hit a real central limit order book (CLOB). Like all live order books on any exchange, prices are determined strictly by active market participants, meaning we have zero control over localized price deviations because they are driven by real supply and demand.
B-book perp prop firms operate a bit differently because you're trading on a simulated environment, so your positions don't have any market impact.
The reason why price could deviate on Vest sometimes, is because traders are executing large orders. For example, retail traders will copy trade and execute $12.5M worth of positions in one go. In any perps exchange, including the most liquid ones, even this could cause major price deviation from the index price.
Because of this exact relationship, our engineering team is spending a significant amount of time optimizing copy trading and $50k accounts to ensure these large executions scale cleanly while maintaining a good trading experience.
While trading on a CLOB is a new concept for many prop traders, we believe it is a better and fully incentive-aligned model than B-books where traders trade against the house. It's our goal to prove this through data - like higher pass rates, no rules, and consistently larger payouts.
Hope that clears things up!
