And the biggest highlight of 2025: TRAIN Protocol Mainnet launch 🙌
@trainprotocol is a credibly neutral, trustless, and intermediary-free approach to cross-chain asset bridging.
You’ll be hearing way more about it in 2026.
Drop us a note if you want to build on top of TRAIN!

@trainprotocol is an intent-based, cross-chain asset bridging protocol that requires no third parties - no oracles, no verifiers, no validators. That sounds aligned with trustlessness to us, and so we're looking forward to hearing all about it from @bot_insane

This is what a single @trainprotocol transaction looks like: no intermediaries, no multisigs. Just the Solver and the User performing Atomic Swaps.

4/ Our review for @TrainProtocol by @layerswap covered recently integrated Solana into their trust-minimized, permissionless cross-chain bridging solution.

Layerswap processes millions in volume each day, supports nearly 100 networks, and has been used by millions of users. It’s also one of the longest-running Solvers.
Someone recently asked me why we started building @trainprotocol if Layerswap was already making so much money. Here’s the unedited answer ⬇️

The requirement for interop protocols should be the same as for L1s.
Interop protocols are cross-chain ledgers, and ledgers should be decentralized, trustless, and censorship-resistant.

Bridging.
- LayerSwap (via @trainprotocol): now supports custom solving, so will have new fast routes to Base for USDC, ETH on the way. Target: 2-3 weeks.
- Canonical: likely to reduce bridge times down to 1 day (from 7) for better capital efficiency. Same as zk rollups. Target: 2 weeks.
- Fast bridge: will see first light w/ O2 launch. Auditors reviewing. Target: September.
- Working on native exchange integrations for faster rebalancing (but seems v. expensive).

This is the first open-source cross-chain Solver implementation that supports @solana, @ethereum, @Starknet, and @fuel_network.
p.s. Some interesting networks are coming soon (like @aztecnetwork).

Replying to @trainprotocol
@trainprotocol is a fully open-source, comprehensive interoperability infrastructure, with all components open-source and ready to use.
- No external dependencies (oracles, validators, etc.)
- Solver with support for all VMs (EVMs, Starknet, Fuel, Solana, etc.)
- Best-in-class bridging UI (descended from Layerswap)
All open-source, free to use, with no "protocol fee switches."
Hit me up if you want to explore.

@trainprotocol, among other things, is bringing BTC/ETH, SOL/ETH, and SOL/TON trading pairs on-chain

@trainprotocol's Solver is the first open-source Solver for both EVM and altVM (live on mainnets). It also has some good first issues if you want to get involved. 👇

// cross-chain bounty hunting
To ensure that Solvers act in a timely manner in @trainprotocol and don’t create inconveniences for users (such as forcing them to manually claim funds at the destination), an extra reward amount is set for each transaction. Anyone who is fast enough can release the user's funds and claim that reward. Solvers themselves monitor other solvers and try to claim their rewards.

- Expanding interop to any network.
- Train's cross-chain and cross-VM atomic swaps.

You know what's happening behind this small UI component? The Light Client of @Optimism is bootstrapped in your dApp/browser using @a16zcrypto's Helios. You verify your swap — no oracles, no third parties. This is TRAIN (@trainprotocol)

Why does @trainprotocol matter?
1) User Fund Safety – There isn’t a single bridging protocol that hasn’t had user funds stuck due to internal or solver infrastructure issues. Train fixes that. No third-party security assumptions — everything is verified locally!
2) Open to Networks – New networks can ACTUALLY have bridging live on day one.
3) Support for EVMs and AltVMs – Intent-based bridging for all VMs (including Starknet, Fuel, Solana, TON – you name it).
4) Open to Solvers – Any solver can join. They can set their own pricing, routing, and handle swaps their own way – whether it's BTC <-> ETH or SOL <-> TON or the same asset.
5) Fully Open Source – The entire protocol, including the dApp, contracts, and most importantly, the solver software, is fully open source.

First open-source implementation of a cross-chain Solver for EVMs and altVMs (@solana & @Starknet). @fuel_network and @ton_blockchain coming next.
Our vision is that anyone with spare assets can launch a Solver with one click, monitor liquidity, and earn fees. First step—done!

Finalizing the @trainprotocol solver's architecture to ensure that ANYONE can run it and ANY network can be integrated.
