- Charlie Brown is a relentless failure and never vindicated for all his striving
- Linus's faith is never rewarded

- Peppermint Patty's love for Charlie Brown is never returned

my school did like a fake car crash to scare kids off of drunk driving BUT my mom had gotten in a crash recently and i was allowed to be excused and because that was the whole day they just let me loose and i spent the whole school day across the street at the gas station
