I got drained. Then I built the wallet that wouldn’t have let it happen. Two things went wrong, and they’re the two things TrappWallet is built around. The first: my wallets weren’t actually separate. I had a main and a degen wallet. Different addresses, different balances — I treated them as isolated. They weren’t. Every wallet most apps create is derived from the same recovery phrase. One secret, many addresses. When that one phrase was compromised, it didn’t take one wallet. It took all of them, at once. So in TrappWallet, every wallet you create gets its own recovery phrase. Not derived. Not a child account. Its own secret. A leak costs you that wallet and nothing else. The cap is 5, and that’s deliberate — every wallet is another phrase you have to actually keep safe, and nobody is minding ten. The app won’t let you add another until the last one is backed up. The second: the second prompt looked exactly like the first. A site connected to one wallet. I approved it, like you do. Later I switched to my other wallet. The site was still a trusted origin — so when it asked for a signature again, it got one. From the wallet I’d never connected it to. Two signatures. Two wallets emptied. In TrappWallet the session is bound to the wallet address, not the domain. A site that connected as wallet A can never be served by wallet B. If it asks, you get the loudest thing on the screen: ⛔ DIFFERENT WALLET Naming both wallets, so the switch is visible instead of inferred. That’s the part the drainer is counting on you not seeing. Every transaction also gets simulated before you sign. If it moves out 85%+ of something you hold and nothing comes back, you get 🚨 DRAIN RISK — DO NOT SIGN. And if we can only see part of a transaction, we say so — it will never show ✅ SAFE on incomplete data. I didn’t read about this in a thread.
